Avoid them! Made my purchase a nightmare. They are telling lies all the time! Unreliable and unprofessional! Took four months to complete a vacant chain free property purchase.
The most unhelpful company I've ever had to deal with. Did not make the move easy and didn't contact us about anything being wrong until the day we were due to move in.
Terrible agency! Not friendly at all. Do not do their job properly. Do not even deserve 1 star
If their was an option to give them one banana, would make more sense. This units service is as if its been run by a dozen monkeys...3 months after tenancy finished, several emails later, and unreturned calls my deposit has still not been returned and no one wants to chase it up. Pathetic.
Most appalling service from a letting agent's I have ever received! If I could give zero stars I would. Aside from the person showing people round properties (Joe) the staff, and particularly the branch manager are exceptionally unprofessional and rude. Upon handing my personal data to the 3rd party without my consent and stating explicitly this was unacceptable I got the response of "No problem". No apologies for breaching a legal right. Over the course of 3 years they screwed up my tenancy renewal, gave incorrect and misleading information, and when finally I put in a formal complaint (because directly stating you are unhappy with the service and that they have broken the law isn't serious enough for them) it took over a month before getting any response to the complaint. Still no formal apology from the branch, and the person dealing with the complaint apparently doesn't want to consider legal terms/ramifications as we are not yet dealing with this on a legal basis, so is judging the stress caused by all of this as he sees fit (which obviously is orders of magnitude below what they are). I am sure some people would receive better service at other branches, however I would strongly suggest anyone planning to rent in Canterbury go through another agents. If their decent staff are leaving because of the way they treat each other, and the management are entirely disregarding of your well being and rights, I wouldn't risk the time, money, and energy required to sort out their continued screw ups.
As students, they were reluctant to let us move in a couple of weeks before term started despite paying full rent from 1st of July. It turns out this was because they had not performed any checks on the house and there was a large hole in the wall, a broken toilet, broken oven knobs and a faulty vacuum cleaner. These issues were slowly resolved, but we still had a large hole in the wall for approximately 6 weeks. Furthermore, yourmove failed to provide the council with the correct paperwork to inform them we were in fact students and exempt from paying council tax, even though we provided yourmove with the necessary information. We were left finding this out through a court summons letter. I know others who have had dreadful experiences with yourmove, avoid them if you can! Would give 0/5 if it were possible.
The agency is incredibly disorganised, lazy and rude. I regret ever registering with them.
Awful rude and pushy staff. Told them I was just looking around at properties and dont want a mortgage with them and they kept contacting me and offering me mortgage advice slots! Shown around property by an agent who was blatantly lying about the property and was making awful comments about the seller. Avoid.
Couldn't recommend you run further from this establishment. Clueless and immoral staff.
Superficially friendly, but mostly incompetent. Don't provide a good service to tenants. Wanted to find out specific details about the property before renting it. They promised they'd contact landlord to find out but only did so after 5th phone call to harass them. Tried to make us sign an inventory before we had moved in and thus before we had the chance to check the state of the property and its contents in detail. Explained I would not do this as it was a legally binding contract - they then rang my partner and tried to convince him to do it! They tried to play down the significance of the documents - if something in the house had been previously damaged and not mentioned on the inventory, we would have been responsible for it. It's a landlord's market, so you don't get to chose your agency as a tenant, but I'd recommend tenants stand their ground with these guys and check all documents carefully before signing anything. Moving out soon. Hope we get our deposit back without too much of a fight. If you're a landlord with any scruples, please consider using a different agency.
