My experience with Goodfellows was made great due to working with Aaron. Knowledgeable, helpful, trustworthy and honest and quick to assist with whatever arose throughout the process. Truly the friendliest! Deducting a star only because the gentleman meeting me for check in was 45 minutes late (which was stressful with a large moving van parked illegally on an A road!) and when I called the office for information I found the office administration staff lacking in knowledge and very unhelpful.
Well, it's been a month now since we sold our house. Apparently our buyer was soooo desperate to move in on completion day we had nothing but hassle on when we were leaving the house on what was an emotional and stressful day, we must have had at least 5 phone calls from Sarah Pine who quite frankly was soooo pushy throughout our whole selling process that as of today's date, our buyer has still not moved in !!!! Lee Hunt is apparently very direct but NEVER rude! I totally agree with the review that Sunny gave. We cannot all be liars! I found Lee very rude. I think Lee and Sarah need some training on empathy, sympathy and people skills!! They got the sale which they were employed to do but at what cost to us as the customer! A very stressful 7 months which was made a hell of a lot more stressful then what it should have been considering we were not in a chain!! Would I use them again, NO is the answer. There are alot of estate agents to use, so I would look around and do your homework. On a plus side, Joel is a very pleasant young man. At least someone there has manners 😆😆
I purchased through Goodfellows and did not have a very good experience. 9 times out of 10 when I called it would go to the 'overflow service' and I would request a callback which was often never returned. Both myself and my solicitors found it hard to get an email response from them and when they did respond they had usually not paid attention to what had been asked. Although I found Joel pleasant enough to talk with (whenever i did get a callback) he wasn't very proactive in chasing things up and seemed to not really be aware of what was going on. Lee on the other hand I found to be rude, abrasive and condescending. I would never purchase through Goodfellows again.
Whilst I cannot comment on Goodfellows' conduct as a general practice, our experience with dealing with Tom Newbrook was a rather unpleasant one. The whole conveyancing (and particularly the bidding process) was undertaken in a surprisingly opaque manner and with some of the communications with him seemingly verging on the aggressive. Whilst it appears others have generally had a better experience with other members of staff, this has meant that, in future, we would look to sell a property elsewhere.

Very unfair and unethical practice. They can charge you all of a sudden with hidden cost which are not stated in the contract and never discussed with you. They can also threaten that they put you to debt collection when you challenge them for clarity of the clause in the contract.
