Doesn't seem very up to date.

As a tenant we had a pipe burst on the Sunday at about 6:00pm when we tried to phone the out of hours line we got put through to a glorified receptionist that said she had sent a email and we didn’t hear anything else from them and the emergency leak number went to voicemail with no call back after we left a message. When we first moved in I found multiple issues with the flat which had been missed by the inventory checker such as water damage and sealants that had failed simple things that as a professional should’ve been spotted. Overall they have helped us to remedy issues when reported but if I owned a flat I wouldn’t trust these to care for it they don’t seem to have the knowledge of general building maintenance to be competent enough as small issues such as sealant replacement go missed until it causes heavy damage and costs a lot of money.

Was a tenant with this agency twice over a 3 year period. A couple of the staff were excellent but most were rude, unhelpful, and arrogant. Often spoke to my partner and myself in a derogatory fashion. I remember one morning where my partner had locked me out of the house and gone to work (don't ask), so I had to shiver in the garage in my pyjamas as it was winter time (my keys were all inside the house). I called martin and co as I knew they had a spare set of keys but they point blank refused to come by and help me out (the property was around 1-2 miles away from the office). My parents kindly drove 90 odd miles to pick me up, with some spare clothes, and take me to the martin and co office to pick up the keys. No sympathy or concern offered, just "get the keys back as soon as possible". Every time we went to the office, was a very awkward and hostile experience. No warmth or customer service to speak of. Would definitely not recommend them. EDIT - I thought I would leave a review as I was reviewing another letting agent and I can see the response from martin and co highlights that it was a few months ago (not really relevant, the service we received was still awful), and saying that they didn't have a spare set of keys (effectively calling me a liar). This sums up in a nutshell martin and co - poor excuses and placing blame for poor service anywhere but on themselves. Proving my point perfectly.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your time at the Property in Chancellor Park, which you vacated in February 2016. I have tried to call you several times and email you too, to discuss your comments. It is hard to comment on matters that happened over a year ago but I can see that we were not managing the property on behalf of your landlord and I cannot see we held keys either, but as I say it is a bit hard to be sure this long ago. I am sorry that you felt the service did not meet your expectations and thank you for the trouble of reviewing my company. If you do wish to call I would be more than happy to discuss with you.
