These guys will have just taken £220 from the deposit scheme. They said there was some small marks on the wall and they had to redecorate the whole landing and bedroom. There`s no such thing as wear and tear. They said I had tried to fill in holes. Absolute nonsense, never did anything of the sorts. I took the tenancy on for 7 months and stayed there twice a week. The property was no different to how it looked when I took it on. Be careful because they build into the deal the fact they will make something off you at the end. Shame, but wouldn't rent a property from them again

Hi Andrew, thanks for your feedback. I notice that you didn't dispute the proposed deposit deduction at the time? Deposits are protected by the Deposit Protection Service, we are not able to simply make deductions from it without either your agreement, or a decision by the arbitration team at the Deposit Protection Service.

As a potential buyer, I have found the staff to be quite ineffective. I have repeatedly had to call back for updates on offers and information regarding a property we have desperately wanted to purchase. Had I called and there not been any updates, I would have been more understanding, but in fact, every time I called there was new information but nobody had bothered to pick up the phone and let me know. Very poor service. Buyers and sellers both lose out when communication is this poor.

After being told we were to be evicted as the owner wanted to sell the house we were renting we felt whitegates treated us as if we were at fault. As we had kept the house well and always paid rent on time we thought a bit of help finding other accommodation might be offered but they were only interested in getting us out. Now there being obstructive about returning our bond giving us wrong information but I suspect it may be because no one knows what there doing or no one wants to take responsibility. Totally unprofessional.

I moved out of a private rented property. To be told I hadn't paid my full deposit that I had. Was told that they would send me a link to claim it back. Been messaging them with no response. How hard is it to answer texts Paris is fine its Kelly who moved from Belgray to Whitegates. Just been reading other reviews, why does the manager/owner mainly responds to positive feedbacks and not poor ones

This agency is a failure. Posting outdated ads. I wanted to see an flat for rent. The lady made an appointment for me and 15 minutes before she called with no keys so I can not see. The next day she called and arranged for me to meet again. Again the same situation. 15 mins before calling the flat is not in good condition ... (photos show something else). Posting obsolete notices should be punished. I have a question, Who will reimburse me for travel costs? Informing 15 minutes in advance is not fair. The agency is not serious. Someone should do lust whit this windy agency.I never again want to have contact with this agency!!!

Hi Agnieszka, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry that we let you down. Unfortunately, the tenant was moving out and didn't give us keys in time for the first viewing. When we eventually gained access the following day, we found that the property had been left in poor condition and wasn't suitable for viewings. I will contact you in relation to reimbursing you for your travel costs as I completely agree that this wasn't your fault and you shouldn't be out of pocket.
