Shoddy excuse for a estate agent, currently in the process of deposit refund which has so far taken over 1 month despite for being filled out the day after leaving the tenancy.When viewings permitted agents "forgot" to lock the door on multiple occasions.Incredibly unprofessional Jen in the deposit deparment, passive aggresive snarky emails.Avoid at all costs.3 months later and still no deposit return and Tracey Nelson at this "company" use slimy sc*mbag tactics to reset timers on DPS. Theres a reason all the good reviews are scummy landlords

Didn't show up for the viewing, took me 40 minutes to get there and I called prior to make sure the viewing was going ahead, I rang after waiting 10 minutes and was reassured someone would turn up, I left after waiting for 25 minutes. The neighbours said that they did a shoddy job of managing the place, wouldn't recommend.

Please think twice before you start renting from Whitegates. They seem to be very comfortable doing business with slum landlords. There's a big chance that you will be renting/paying for a dump, mouldy, mouse and rat infested property with very little or no help from Whitegates at all! PS: before staff comes with their generic "we have all the conversations and emails "- I also have pictures and correspondence to prove my claim!

I will never try and rent a house or buy with whitegates ever. Applied for a house, paid the holding fee and completed the application. Due to a recent CCJ which I was not aware of, my application was automatically rejected. They have kept my holding fee and I have lost out. I always pay rent and bills, and due to the CCJ going to an old adresss it was not something I knew about so therefore I did not withhold any information. I should have been able to provide a guarantee or pay 6 months up front but this option was not given. Absolutely devastated.

Absolutely Rubbish turn up at yours unannounced prior they are ment to leave you a email or text stating 24 hours and that there coming when they don’t even text or message our heatings gone on us in living room it’s urgent matter but no they can’t send someone out straight away so we’ve had to borrow a portable heater of my partners dad untill this gets fixed god knows when the electrtion is going to come out because it’s a joke now we’ve been waiting a full week.Bare in mind we private rent this apartment and pay hell of a lot of rent to them for this place.

After seeing your recent review we have looked into this and you were emailed by our repairs team on Friday 3rd in the morning to confirm the electrician would be with you later that day. You accepted this via email. You were then informed by another agent that he would be with you in the evening on the same day. We do not have any correspondence from you after that so I would presume the work had been completed. I understand it is not ideal having one radiator not working however this would not be classed as an emergency that would take priority in a contactor’s schedule, priority is for people with no electric at all. If you have not had a contractor out to repair please call the office to speak to our office manager.

Dear students, Please be careful before renting through Whitegates. Although they have some good properties, thanks to their Sales effort, some of their customer service employees are very much rude and arrogant as if the international students are the slum dwellers and we have to be pamper them for a piece of apartment or room... It's a gutted experience overall. Especially, there is an employee named Sharon, she's very rude and disrespectful to me, perhaps, because I am an international student. Only because of her behaviour, I have decided to move out of Huddersfield, and in the process of rented house from the Linley and Simpson estate agent (at least they are respectful to students coming from diverse background). Dear Whitegates you stay with your arrogance attitude while I wish to live with my dignity. Thank you.

Awful place. Avoid at all costs. Do not care about their tenants and are poor at sorting any repairs - even ones that are a heath and safety risk response: unfortunately at the time of any issues you are not bothered, only when you receive a review do you seem slightly interested
