I put my property up for sale early on in the year. After a sale falling through before the first lockdown and then during lockdown, the team at the Royton branch was always there for us. Holly and team from the Royton branch were brilliant from start to finish. The process was not without its problems (not their fault). I struggled to get a mortgage due to COVID and a buyer dropped out so I expect it was not easy for Holly at Ryder & Dutton to keep the people in the chain happy and updated. Always polite, patient and professional. Good photos and videos taken, house sold (twice) within a week. Only bad experience was with the “contract ready” package I took out with them. I filled in everything on day one and was still getting asked for answers to the same questions and information months later due to the solicitor (Garrets) who seemed to have no idea how the online system worked. I assumed that using a solicitor that Ryder and Dutton suggested would make the process easier but it certainly did not. My advice here would be to find your own solicitor and don’t feel that by using who they suggest will help or make life easier. Royton Branch Matt Clayton from the Royton branch has been fantastic from start to finish. He has kept us updated every step of the way and been organised and professional throughout. He's gone above and beyond in selling our house (even doing phones calls etc to save waiting for Solicitors) and is now helping in the search for a new home. He's handled the tears and tantrums in a professional, polite way and is an absolute asset to the Royton branch. Although more expensive than some agents, you genuinely do get what you pay for.
