Poor communication

Xact 'sold' our house (via Rightmove) after several viewings, none of which were even attended by them. Negotiation on the purchase price was simply the passing backwards and forwards of 2 messages by phone. When it came to 3 months into conveyancing and things started to get difficult down the chain we had to chase for updates but actually got all of our updates from the Agent who we were buying our new house from!! Xact often updated us incorrectly or after we'd already heard the news from our vendor's Agent. They often got facts wrong or forgot instructions we'd given them, and on one occasion merely emailed us 3 hours after they'd been told that the chain had come to a stop - on the day of Exchange!!! On complaining to the owner I was told that their employee 'was very busy'. That is not acceptable and is no excuse for not passing on vital information immediately in person. Although we did Complete eventually the overall experience was not good and not worth the fee. We would not recommend using Xact.
