This year we made the big decision to put our house on the market. Having chosen Ashton's as our estate agents, we can honestly say we picked the best! From the moment we walked through their door in mid May to completion at the end of July, they were superb. Great service - made house buying hassle free! We are first time buyers and worked with Ashtons to purchase our first home in St Albans. The team (Louise Walker & Richard Fossey in particular) were great to work with. As first time buyers they helped us to navigate the process and were always on hand to help with questions. Louise was excellent in following up with solicitors further up the chain and helping to keep us up to date with all that was happening. Our experience with Ashtons was excellent and I would highly recommend them both as a buyer or seller - they are very professional from start to finish and most importantly.... they made the process hassle free...no mean feat!

Our initial experience of renting a property through Ashtons was seamless. Alexander, from the St Albans branch, is an asset to the company. He has been both professional and very responsive throughout the process. Thank you for your hard work and assisting us so effectively! Edit - Since our contract was started with Ashtons in April 2021, we have had nothing but stress trying to get rental property issues remedied. We are currently on our third property manager from Ashtons. Over 6 weeks ago we reported rising damp, severely high levels of moisture in the property (water pooling in window frames etc.), and black mould in the bedroom. This issue still hasn't been dealt with, and Ashtons are not proactively chasing our landlord for a response or for action to be taken. We have even attended the branch to raise the issue and it is not being addressed to the required standard. Update - Ashtons have since been prompt when discussing property issues with us. We have been made aware that there were some understaffing issues. These have since been rectified, and Ashtons are back to providing a great service - so much so that we have been viewing new rental properties with them!
