Just completed our first house purchase and all the people we dealt with at Ashtons were a pleasure to deal with. Buying a house is always stressful, especially in a pandemic with a stamp duty deadline looming. Despite being very busy themselves, there was always someone to speak to and if they weren’t available they would always call back very quickly. We were really very impressed with how Ashtons handled the change of tenants in our flat a few weeks ago. Despite the difficult and unusual circumstances they were operating under, they arranged a smooth check out, got various works completed in the 2 weeks between tenancies, and then ensured an equally smooth check in for the new tenants.Everyone involved really pulled together as a strong team, and particular credit goes to Jamie, Chloe, Sophie and Kirstie. Very professional. I got frustrated trying to find a suitable rental in St Albans due to the shortage of decent 2 bed rentals this summer and the bidding wars that were taking place. Theses agent did not play me off against other prospective viewers or force me increase on the asking price to secure a property. All expression of interest put to the landlord and landlord's choice based on what was on paper without been put off by my name and the fact i was a single mother which was my experience from a couple of St Albans landlords and agents.
