Having trained a long time ago as a surveyor & worked previously for a very prestigious estate agents elsewhere in the country , i thought i knew a fair bit about how the buying & selling of houses worked in England & the valuable role estate agents play in it . I always thought their role was to facilitate a smooth transaction between vendor & purchaser , removing any tension & misunderstandings in what is a very emotive situation . Nope , apparently not . From the brief experience gained with dealing with Bramptons i must conclude that estate agents are there to frustrate potential buyers until they give up & go away . Silly old me . This particular old dinosaur will take their money elsewhere & purchase a property from someone who strangely wants to help sell one to me .
