I am writing to express my concerns regarding the service provided by The Frost Partnership during my father's tenancy agreement for an apartment in Amersham. Initially, their approach seemed thorough, but subsequent events have led to some distressing issues. When my father was hospitalised and subsequently moved to a care home, their assistance was notably lacking. A particular point of contention is the condition of the patio at the property. At the commencement of the lease, the landlady acknowledged in writing that the patio required cleaning. Despite this, The Frost Partnership is demanding a fee of £190 for its cleaning, which seems unjust given that it was not in a satisfactory state when my father began his tenancy. It is disconcerting that they are insisting on this charge, especially considering my father's advanced age of 92 years. I urge you to consider this communication as a stern cautionary note. While initial impressions may be positive, our experience has been anything but, and it is important to note that there are numerous other estate agents available within a short walking distance. It is disappointing to have to convey such a message, but I believe it is necessary to share our experience so that others may be more informed in their dealings with The Frost Partnership.

Your review is disappointing given the tenancy is still ongoing and both our Landlord and The Frost Partnership are being extremely fair and reasonable. When we were made aware that your father had to move out due to health reasons we spoke and agreed with your Landlord that the tenancy could be ended early, subject to a new tenant being found to take over the tenancy where your liability for rent and utilities would end, thus saving you a considerable sum. As per the tenancy agreement the Landlord is within their rights to charge remarketing costs but in the circumstances has agreed to waive this. As with all tenancies there will be a checkout when it terminates at which point an independent assessment is made to check if the property has been given back in the same condition (bar fair wear and tear) as it was when the tenancy commences. On one of our recent visits, it is clear that the patio is overgrown with some 3ft weeds and not in the same condition as it was at the start. As such The Frost Partnership has got a quote to bring the patio back to the condition at the start, this does not include cleaning but was purely for your information. As mentioned previously the formal check out will not take place until the tenancy formally ends and therefore you have the opportunity to clear and weeds on the patio yourself or appoint your own contractor prior to the checkout being done. If the patio is deemed to be in a similar condition to that at the start of the tenancy there will be no charge. It is not fair to expect the Landlord to pay to bring the garden back to the condition it was at the start of the tenancy. All discussions regarding tenancy end and expectations for property handover for end of tenancy have been with you (the guarantor) and not your elderly father.
