Please please do not sell your house with Michael Anthony Estate Agents! We have had such a bad experience with them. The sales team weren't too bad, we had quite a few viewings often with fairly prompt feedback. The problem arises when you're under offer and you're moved over to the 'sales Progression team'. This team seems to be almost totally non existent. They appear to have a policy of not answering the phone - never in 6 months did they answer the phone or in fact ring back when you leave a message with a colleague to call you back. Email contact was largely the same - often there was an automated email response saying they were busy and will get back as soon as they can which is very stressful when you're trying to ask a quick question about a house sale or get an update because you're in a stressful situation etc. Moving house is certainly a stressful time but I cannot emphasise enough how Michael Anthony estate agents made it far far more stressful than it needed to be. There is nothing worse than a total vacuum of information which is what we had. I wrote a written complaint to the 3 directors which was never replied to. I had a perfunctory 30 second phone call from one director a few days later apologising and ensuring me things would improve. Needless to say they didn't. In the end the only way I actually sold my house was by getting my buyers phone number, my vendors number and using the vendors estate agent to push everything through and navigate the process. It even got to the ridiculous situation where I emailed the estate agent to inform them that we had exchanged (they had absolutely nothing to do with the process) and inform them on the completion date. I still received no reply so on the day of completion I had to email again to say 'just so you know we are completing today'! How totally ludicrous.

Dear Helen. We would like to confirm that we were instructed to market your property and successfully sold your property and you have now moved home. The time taken from the point of agreeing your successful sale to exchange of contracts was 47 working days. In this period, our systems show you were individually emailed by our team 32 times. Supplementary to this, our team communicated in group update emails, and with all parties involved in the chain with over 50 outbound communications from our progression team. This does not include numerous phone calls on a daily basis between all parties both outbound and inbound. We understand that house moving is an emotive, stressful time and we were aware of your frustration at the conveyancing process. We try to facilitate a smooth move for people. We would like to state that our team remained polite and courteous in all communications with you throughout the process. We confirm you have successfully moved. We wholly refute your comments and do not agree with your misleading account of events. We wish you well in your new home.
