I would advise any potential tenants or landlords to run a mile. I’ve seen how this franchise works from the inside, and the picture isn’t pretty. Tenants and landlords ripped off on a daily basis. There are genuine estate agents in Banbury. I can provide evidence of the complete lies of the franchise holder. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Awful and unethical business practice. Rang on a Tuesday to book a viewing for the Friday, told them we had a dog and told shouldn’t be a problem, would let us know if it is. Went to the viewing on the Friday, rang after to put down a holding deposit, told that the dog would be a problem. Went back to Rightmove to check for any other properties that have been added to find the rent had also been put up by £100, which was 10.5%, THAT MORNING - agent neglected to mention that at the viewing, or at any other point! At the viewing itself the agent was more interested in making small talk with the outgoing tenant than us, and moreover we weren’t advised that there would be anybody home when we went to view, which should have been mentioned as a courtesy at the very least. The most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had.

Shocking. They are compulsive liars. I left this property and they charged me £600 for damage to walls, painting needed to be done, 6 light bulbs need to be replaced, the whole flat needed to be cleaned. I paid a professional company to clean the flat for end of tenancy and the estate agent told me “it wasn’t a good clean”. I just went to the property to speak with the new tenant and none of the above has been completed. You are charging people for stuff that doesn’t get repaired. The inventory check in is the same condition as when I checked out. They are very rude and patronising. Edit: a lovely lady phoned me from the company asked me if I would remove my review on Facebook and they will refund me the money. So they admit they have treated me unethically - I have chose to not remove this review as I am entitled to leave a review on my experience and I should not be bribed to remove my review in return for my money back. I will take this further and I hope that anyone who is or has rented using this company should check their inventory checkout as they are charging people for “damages” which never get repaired. Edit: finally after a few months the DPS have reviewed all evidence and released £550 of my deposit. They agreed that Martin & Co could not take all of my money as it wasn’t lawful. Shame on them.
