Little disappointed tbh ...booked my valuation and didn't receive an email confirmation or a pre call phone call

Whitegates feels it is acceptable to increase your rent through a pandemic, giving barely a months notice knowing full well how difficult it would be to find alternative living arrangements. Very unresponsive, have a broken toilet for almost 2 weeks with no reply or anything.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

As you are aware a contractor has been and investigated and the job has been approved and awaiting completion by the contractor the rent increase was agreed before lockdown and it was the first increase since you moved in a few years ago.

We called the office to view a property on a Saturday for 2 pm no body turn up from white gates and the office is closed Saturday afternoon so we will not be going to them again it will not let me no star on the review we would not recommend them to anybody yes we were there from 2 pm until 2-55 we got told a agent was going to show us the property not the vendor and we contact the office but you were shut so your office at 2-10 and 2-25 also 2-45 but we didn’t know that you shut at 1 pm were other estate agents open until 4 pm to 5 pm on a Saturday

The only viewing we have in the name of Gerrard is one on 9th March and we were not conducting the viewing, the vendor of the property was doing his own viewings and informed us that you did not attend.

Made an appointment with Whitegates Barnsley to view a property they messed up and try to make out you've made the mistake. Poor communication won't sell my house with them. If I could rate them lower I would.

I have recently arranged a viewing for a property which was being marketed by Whitegates and I can honestly say that they are probably the main reason why we aren’t buying the property in question. From the initial call, the person on the other end of the phone couldn’t have been less interested. They eventually arranged the viewing which was with the seller themselves. We have made an offer shortly after the viewing and never heard from them again until we were chasing any outcome. All we were getting from them is they’re not the sellers therefore they don’t make decisions an in my opinion they never followed this up and even if their statement is true, there are better ways to communicate with potential buyers who will be paying their fees upon completion. Finally after a couple of days they did call with the news that the owners rejected the offer and although we have tried to get some guidance from them in order to make an acceptable counter offer, they never assisted us at all. All we’ve been told is to call them if we wish to increase our offer but upon checking rightmove a couple of hours later we noticed that the asking price has been increased by 10k which we haven’t been told during the phone call either. As we have found their procedure very unethical and uninterested we decided to move on and luckily we have found a much better property even though it was still 10k more than their increased asking price but we are proceeding with the assurance of a helpful and trusted local agent who actually cares. Due to the above experience I would never list a property with Whitegates nor recommend them to any friends or family. I will even give a miss to properties which they are marketing due to the negative and unethical experience which they have caused us.

**UPDATE** - In response to the reply: this number is not a valid UK telephone number. It speaks volumes about the service people receive from this company. Unprofessional. Poor quality service and bad attitudes all round. There are more competitive prices else where with much better service.NegativeProfessionalism
