Martin and Co provided a great level of service during and after our property search. In sourcing the ideal property for us, Chris Cooke worked hard to give us options, and provided helpful guidance to us in deciding which property to choose. On two occasions, he made himself available at extremely short notice to allow me to view properties in this fast moving market. Once we moved into the apartment, there were a few snagging issues. Francesca Johnstone from Martin and Co visited in the afternoon, and by the next morning the appropriate tradesmen had visited our apartment (efficiently arranged by Francesca), and all of the issues were repaired and resolved. I found Chris to be very efficient and informative, I found Francesca to to be very professional and caring. Both of these individuals were a pleasure to deal with, and are exactly the type of employees that make Martin and Co the leading estate agency in this area, characterised by high levels of care and professionalism, and managed with a warm human touch.

Danielle was very prompt, responsive and helpful in dealing with our concerns.

Cons: 1) the agency did not agree to issue a reference when moving out, rather asked for some conditions - despite all rents being paid on time for many year. 2) the agency did not return the deposit and requested very high superficial charges.

This review is based on specifically the end of contract period. The service was very slow. The charges made where not reviewed properly and the price charges where ridiculous. Most of the charges have been agreed that didn't made sense in the end, but for all the discussion evolving that, I lost 2 more weeks where I didn't had my deposit. That is because they didn't review the initial deposit review before I moved in and charged me things which where broken from before. Be careful, they do this in the idea the try they luck and if you don't check you pay :). Also I was charged 25£ for 2 pillows which where "dusty and full of hair" (that is what the initial report said), which of course I threw them straight away when I moved in. After 3 years I paid 25£ for them, when if go to Amazon you get 4 for 12£ brand new. Basically based on the standard of the pillows and the amount of time I "used" them, the price should have been 2 £ maybe. I had to wait for a person to come from holiday to deal with my issues. Any job I had when I left in holiday I had to delegate my tasks. I shouldn't wait to receive my deposit because an employee of Martin & Co went in holiday. I do not recommend Martin & Co. When they ask payment is always now now, with deadlines, but when you request service from them......they are slow and don't care.
