They really aren’t very good. We viewed a house with them a couple of weeks before the first Covid lockdown. We loved it and were promised we’d be kept updated on any developments while we sorted out the sale of our own property. So when a sale was agreed to somebody else, a courtesy call/email to let us know would have been appreciated (there wasn't one). And I don’t think it was unreasonable to expect some form of communication to let us know it was back on the market when that sale fell through – particularly as we could then have told them we had sold our own property and were ready to go! That, too, was clearly a bridge too far. But to add insult to injury, having called them (twice) to put in an asking price offer, we had to wait four days to be informed they’d again agreed a sale to somebody else – this time to a mysterious chain-free buyer that no one had seen fit to mention existed when we put our offer forward. I know this might sound like sour grapes. But, despite a litany of other gripes (emails ignored, phone calls to the office literally unanswered for hours/days on end etc), there really aren’t any: we found a lovely house through another agency who, despite the obvious complications caused by Covid, were communicative, proactive and professional - the polar opposite of this dozy bunch. I suppose my point is that anyone can sell a property when the market’s good. But if I was selling my home in the Beccles area, I’d want an agent who isn’t going to sleepwalk through the entire process.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
