I had a mixed experience with Ellis and Co. I rented with them for a year. The flat was nicely redecorated before we moved in. The agent we dealt with was friendly, and most of the time when we had minor repairs or issues with the flat they were quick to send someone to fix it. I didn't get the feeling that they were out to rip us off, as is the case with a lot of letting agents. The reason they lose some stars is because of communication - when we had queries that were more complicated than a simple repair, our emails would often go unanswered, or only answered after a lot of chasing. This was quite frustrating at times. It took quite a few emails and about a month of time after I moved out to be told when my deposit would be returned (I eventually received it in full). Overall I think they are a decent letting agent, but if they improved communication and responsiveness they could be great.
