Best agent we've had

We've used Clive for about 18 mths for our small portfolio of rental properties and we are very pleased that we chose him. We found Clive through his weekly newspaper column which we liked. On meeting him, we were very impressed with Clive's practical, hands-on approach. We also felt that his approach to letting and to finding and looking after tenants matched our own. Previously we used one of the large High Street Agencies and were dissatisfied with the results and value for money. We found that our tenants would complain to us because the agents weren't responding, that we had to keep on the agent's case to get anything done, that we did not get good value from tradesmen they employed, and that they rarely inspected the work or managed through to completion. Our experience with Clive is that he cares: about getting quality tenants who will want to stay for a long period, about looking after them when they have problems, about making sure they look after the property by explaining to them what they need to do, and about getting value for money from the tradesmen he uses. We feel he makes a good letting agent as he has the experience of tackling the day-to-day problems from the experience of managing his own portfolio. Clive has managed our properties efficiently, keeping us informed but not burdening us with the day to day problems. He has given good advice through the entire process from selecting suitable properties to looking after the property and rental once the tenants have moved in. He has taken the hassle out of looking after our tenants and our properties, which is exactly what you want a managing agent to do. We have no hesitation in recommending him.
