We have just completed the sale of our property which has been in the capable hands of Alex Jewhurst at EweMove Cirencester. Alex remained calm, courteous & communicative throughout, despite the pressures & demands of the process.

EweMove provide me with an excellent management service for my two rental properties. I moved away from my existing agents to EweMove because I needed someone to fully manage tenant engagement, a smooth handover, and to be pro-active in signing my tenants up for a longer contract. I couldn't of asked for a better involvement in this process. Alex continues to be professional, and goes to all lengths to cater for both mine and our/my customers needs.

It's hard to leave a much loved house after 20 years but Alex and the team smoothed the bumps. Not an easy time with all the pressures of a looming stamp duty deadline to add to all the other stresses of moving house. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful and understood the local area well. All in all everything you can ask for from an estate agentPositiveQuality

Disappointed! Offer accepted then cancelled! An accepted offer should be final, but note house was not taken of market!

I had the misfortune of selling my property through Ewemove. A 9 month saga with poor advice and awful communication. Expensive and untrustworthy.

Dear Phil, We are sorry to read your review and whilst we always value feedback, we do feel this is completely unjustified. If others reading this are to look at your review of your buyer’s agent, they would perhaps understand that your gripe is with them and not us. From our perspective, we went over and above for you, not only dealing directly with your buyer’s buyer as the agent below was not communicating with anyone, but also your onward vendor (who should not have been tied into this transaction) to ensure the chain stayed intact. We even negotiated with your buyer to increase their offer further on your property to compensate you for the delay caused by their original sale falling through. This has been cemented by your buyer who has given us glowing reviews for the service we provided. We can fully appreciate how stressful this must have been for you, with your move at the mercy of weak links in a chain. However, had it not been for our involvement and constant communication with yourself, and the rest of your chain, your transaction would probably still be ongoing. It was an unfortunate 7-month process where the chain below collapsed, and the agent put in place yet another buyer with a difficult financial situation, which is not within our direct control. We are a business who strive to provide a positive experience for our clients, so we are sorry to hear that you didn’t feel that we did everything in our power to help progress your move as quickly as you had hoped. We would like to thank you for the full payment of our invoice and wish you all the best on your new adventure. Alex & Jo

Was waiting the outcome of my complaint with The Property Ombudsman service before I wrote my review of Ewemove Swindon (not to be confused with any other Ewemove). Based on my experience, I will not do business with them again. I am fortunate that my complaint was upheld by TPO despite Ewemove Swindon arguing against it and then their stage 2 head office also arguing against it. In my opinion the head office are not very supportive and the franchise has really inexperienced people running them, meaning that whilst on the face of it the customer service is ok, they nitty gritty stuff is really quite poor and the franchise don’t really do much apart from outsource to really poor third party providers. Below is a snippet from of the response from the TPO (redacted to hide personal detail). I have concluded that an award of [redacted] represents a suitable and reasonable level of compensation so that the parties can draw a line under the matter and move on. In summary, I would always do your due diligence before entering into a contract with a provider especially one like Ewemove and always go with a more tenured organisation that has the credentials to do the job through to the end.

About

Nice to meet you! I am Alex Jewhurst and I started our business as EweMove Cirencester from our spare room in South Cerney back in June 2017. I have been coming to the village since I met my wife, Natasha, at university in 1999 before we finally moved "home" in 2015 after a 10 year stint in central London. We live in South Cerney with our 10 year old daughter, May and working Cocker, Louis and have no regrets in leaving the Big Smoke behind. My estate agency career started in a small army town called Bordon in Hampshire in 2005 after I decided a career in engineering just wasn't right for me. Having always had a passion for property, I decided to jump into the industry - much to the dismay of friends and family saying "but you're not like an estate agent??". Ever since then I have strived to change the perception of estate agents to show that we can be "good people!" The journey took me up through Surrey and on into the Central London market where I finished up working for Hamptons in their City office dealing with some pretty spectacular high net worth clients and properties to boot. However, after almost 2 years of commuting back and forth from the Cotswolds to the City, I decided that was enough when I stumbled across a rather interesting, if not quirky franchise opportunity with a crazy green sheep logo. The rest, as they say, is history...
