Hi Yasmin, I think our description of events is a little different to yours. The landlord agreed to your early break of the tennacy based on a number of conditions. One of which was the return of the property to the condition of how you recieved it. The walls were not returned to that condition even though you promised to have it professionally re- decorrated (i have this on email). I attended to inspect the property on a Sunday for your benefit and take the keys and told you that the walls were not acceptable. Your removal man also commented that they had been filled and not dried before you had paited them. Paint was provided at the landlords cost and i gave you the option to return and make good but you agreed in email that £150 was to be returned to the Landlord for the making good of the walls as you wanted to end the tennacy on the Monday and could not return to the property. I explained how to challenge this through the landlord deposit scheme and this is open to you. I would stress that everything was done via email and agreed by yourselves.
