So, first time renter and I have to say they are very disappointing. My actual landlords are such a lovely couple and it's been a real pleasure to be living in a house they own. Belvoir however have been nothing but a disappointment. From the very first message I sent trying to arrange a viewing I received blunt and unhelpful responses that made me feel uncomfortable however we really liked the property so we continued. There were constant delays a full week of no contact. Constantly chasing them up and a lack of communication that left some major confusion with how much was getting put down for the deposit. They refuse to take responsibility for any of the delays and breakdown in communications that took place and will place all of that on you the customer/ Tennant. In person we did have a lovely experience with Maureen when collecting the keys and going over the paperwork. We have now found a new property and we have been delayed a full week on getting our references due to them ignoring the messages from the new agency from the 6th to the 12th an email sent everyday and failing to reply to me and stating they won't do it and passing it on to someone else. I had already wrote a review but decided to redo it to add in this new information and paint a more informative picture as to what the experience has been like. I wouldn't recommend them for a smooth experience. I feel like it has been really inpersonal and rude. Trying to communicate with them has caused me quite a lot of stress and it's been really difficult to try remain calm and professional when feeling unsupported and blamed for how the service has been. After meeting with different agents and experiencing much different service I do believe there are less stressful options out there.
I have lived next door to a Belvoir managed property for 15 years. In that time I have experienced poor management and a total lack of respect as a house owner that lives next door to a Belvoir letting. In the Belvoir description notes all they mention is customer satisfaction for the tenant and landlord. # They don’t inspect and manage the property effectively when it’s empty. E.g cutting grass, cleaning gutters, fixing leaks etc. E.g. I have a damp conservatory wall caused by a water leak from their property. After 6 months of arguing whose fault it was, between landlord/tenant, who was going to pay, and in the meanwhile my wall was still being soaked. The water has found its way into my cavity wall insulation. To repair it, it’s £995, and the owner won’t pay. # I cleaned my gutters in June 24. I noticed that next doors gutters were growing plants in their gutter, because it hadn’t been checked, inspected or maintained. Also, their Grass was 3 feet long, with ‘Binda weed’ growing over the shared fence and smothering my garden shrubs too. So, I called to tell Belvoir and complained. They completed the work. But, they have flushed all their dirt into my side gutters and drain pipes and have blocked them. This is causing the gutters to overflow & more damage to my property. Once again the owner won’t admit to it, or pay. Responses received from Belvoir were dismissive, ignorant and apathetic. It leaves me no choice but to use this review option to inform and warn people. # I have cut their grass and their bush for 15 years, just to keep the gardens looking decent on our Egremont residential estate on Ling Road. I have never received any recognition. I organised a new shared back garden fence replacement, it was rotten, with no appreciation from anyone. I had to take photo’s to prove completion before they paid. # Due to tenants they’ve chosen with drink and drug issues, I have been threatened with violence by previous tenants. I have been threatened by a tenants Staffy dog, he threatened to set it onto my grandkids and daughters playing in the garden. The police were regular visitors, banging on doors, due to fights and arguments in the early hours, windows broken, regular all night parties, cars being trashed on the drive and ‘not very happy’ drug dealers in the early hours collecting money. # Now I have another new tenant. I didn’t even know that they were actually in for over a month, until the post man landed with a parcel. I told him there’s no one in there at the minute. He said “Oh yes there is” here’s a parcel for them. I came back home and the person was cutting the front grass. So, I said hello, I’m x next door, how are you?. He turned and ran away into the back garden, without saying a word. A few days later in the back garden, the person was cutting the grass. So, I again tried to say hello, x next door, have you settled in? I was being neighbourly. The person ran into the house and shut the back door without a word. I was left shocked again! I called Belvoir worried to find out who it is, to try & understand this strange behaviour, they said they can’t tell me anything, not even a name. So, anyone reading this, what would you be thinking now? These are just some of the issues I have had to tolerate. # My house has been de-valued as I can’t sell and move. I would need to be honest about my neighbours situation and any disputes. Warning. If you’re looking to buy a new house, then check first & don’t buy one next to a Belvoir letted property. # There is no integrity, just ignorance and apathy, even though Belvoir know who is to blame, and what the ‘right thing’ to do is, they just won’t do it, to save their clients money. The maintenance service they use are poor and there are no post job inspections from Belvoir. # There are never any communications about who or when, someone is moving in, or moving out, or who it is. # It’s always a worry who and what is coming next! One very disappointed, retired house owner, living next door to a badly managed Belvoir property for 15 years.
Avoid at all costs.
They dont really care....take a fee ...dont look after your interest. Very upsetting.NegativeQuality
