NOT WORTH 1 STAR! Absolutely awful wouldnt recommend to anyone! First thing is poor communicational skills. The property manager (Fareda) has abused her position of authority and acted in a verbal communication by phone in an intimidating, aggressive and threatening manner towards us numerous of times. Using foul language towards my Father and Mother and they was taken advantage of language barrier when they told clearly they dont understand english but was still spoken and shouted at for stating their concerns. Having lived there for almost 2 years has been a nightmare as no repairs were done at the property whichever contractor was sent out did nothing infront of us besides little bits and bobs and then took pictures and went. We hadnt recieved any help or reconciliation about the property or out concerns. When the time of moving out came we had given the keys in a day late and had lost a key so was told would be charged 30 to 40 poouds out of bond which was understandable but was given WRONG information. We are charged around £120 for changing locks for one door. Then the property manager had checked the house state and hadnt mentioned anything that was damaged etc. Funny thing is we paid £800 or a bit more for bond and apparently all we get told that we would receive back is £100 and abit? Contractors, landlord family and whitegates agents themselves have been to property numerous of times and not once mentioned the property is in bad state? The whitegates agent called Sarah had come to our property and mentioned that 'landlord hasnt done no work' then which my mother had mentioned 'this is what we have been complaining about but no one taking notice'. We had raised our concerns with the landlords relative but no changes were made. We are still awaiting the bond return and have stated we would like the right amount of bond returned as it is ridiculous. We will be leaving reviews as we was left one before and was threatened and spoken disgustingly.

Rubbish!!!Left my phone number twice to arrange a valuation, never came back to me. Very rude man on the phone, do not recommend to anyone. Not the right way to make business

Rude, awful attitude and unprofessional. They were paid letting fees to place tenants into our property on a 12 month agreement. Clearly we expected them to carry out careful diligence in vetting appropriate tenants using previous landlord and employment references. Five months into the tenancy we had a failed rental payment. The tenants subsequently stated they would be vacating the property 6 months early due to employment difficulties and would be moving back into a family home. We faced months of a rent free period and a decent repair bill. However, the above is NOT the reason for this negative review. We clearly then decided not to use Whitegates when we decided to market the property for sale. We subsequently received a message from their agent who expressed his disappointment that we did not use his company for marketing the sale. His argument was we owed him some loyalty for the late evening calls for dealing with the problem tenants his company put into our property! When I volunteered the reasons (above) his words to me were 'nonsense'. I will let those reviewing this form their own opinion.

Dear Mr Siddique, Thank you for your review. As you are aware I have been fully involved throughout the whole process starting from your early sales and letting enquiries. I am surprised and extremely disappointed that you were unhappy with the level of service myself and my team provided. I have gone into your property details and spoke to my staff to build a clear picture. To clarify, I have counted over 50 (fifty) bits of correspondence and conversations via text, email and telephone calls with at least 4 members of staff a lot of them being in the evening and as late as 11.30pm. 4 separate visits were made to your property on your insistence. Both you and your partner were offered concise advice about our levels of service and what each one entailed. You opted for a Let Only service which is self-explanatory – once a tenant has been given the keys then the management of the property becomes the responsibility of the landlord, this was a cheaper option in comparison to the fully managed service that we offer. We use a fantastic referencing company who carry out reference checks on the potential tenants obtaining references from previous landlords and employment records. Your tenants were approved with flying colours. Circumstances for anyone can change in an instant be it due to loss of employment, separation or even a bereavement, therefore it is absolutely impossible to predict a tenant will last the duration of the tenancy and continue to make payments. You were also advised about the Infinity service that has a rent guarantee element within the package. Despite you opting to go for the Let Only service both myself and my staff continued to advise you during your difficulties with your tenant even though we weren’t obligated to so.
