We would also like to clarify that the client was made aware of your complaint on the morning of your missed appointment and all our clients are updated on the day of all viewings regardless if the appointment turns up or not. All viewings are very important to us and are vital for the sale of our client’s properties. Your appointment was booked for 10:30am and was the third viewing at the property that morning. The first two viewers before you both managed to attend the viewings on time despite not being from the local area. The diversions signs and positions are set out by Ayrshire Road Alliance and the positioning of the signs are out with our control. We have attached a link to their website below for you to contact them with regards to your complaint on signage. https://www.ayrshireroadsalliance.org/Home.aspx Unfortunately, the village of Barr does not have any mobile reception and the agent was not able to be contacted as there was no landline in the property. On meeting the first viewer the agent was informed that the diversion was still in place. As the agent had been informed of this from the first viewer, they waited until 11:15am to see if you were going to turn up. After 45mins they left the property to return to the office as the next appointment of the day was at 12:00pm and the travel time back to Girvan was approximately 30mins. On returning to Girvan 30mins later the agent had mobile reception, they received a voicemail from the office to inform them of your predicament. The agent called you at 11:45 on their return to the office. Unfortunately, your phone rang out and they left you a voicemail to offer an alternative appointment later that afternoon to give you the opportunity to view the property. As we did not receive a return phone call from yourselves we were unable to help you further. With all rural viewings we do allow for extra time between appointments as we are aware people may struggle to find a property or be caught up in traffic. However, in this instance we could not wait any longer than 45mins. The property you enquired about sold at the closing date the day after your missed appointment, however, we would be more than happy to keep you informed if this changes.
