Angela Nicholson has provided an excellent service to us as landlords. She has kept us informed of proposed legislation changes and efficiently managed contractors when work has been required on the property.

Prior to this move I’d say I hate moving house; it is such a stressful process. When we moved 9 years ago the agent we used (one of a big well-known chain) did not help with stress levels at all. In fact, once a sale was agreed (we found our own buyer through a friend of a friend) they couldn’t have been less interested or cared less. Having said I would never ever move again fast forward 9 years, and the stress of the last move had clearly somewhat faded, and we decided it was time to do it all again. We spoke to 3 different agents, got 3 different valuations and had to pick who to go with. The reason we chose Martin and Co was not price (although they were the cheapest by far) it wasn’t the valuation, they came in with the middle valuation of the three, it was the promise you would be treated the way they would want to be treated and the promise of Kat the after sales person who looked after you throughout the process. Another major plus was not being locked into a contract so you can change your mind at any time with no fee. The employees for Martin and Co that I dealt with, including Gary the owner, are a huge credit to the company. We had Shez working to get us viewings, he was really friendly and helpful and he kept in touch throughout. Once the sale was agreed Shez supported us in recommending a solicitors (who were also fantastic Howarth & Hollings) and provided details of a IFA should we need it. The biggest positive for me personally, after the awful move 9 years ago was Kat. Whenever I had a query Kat was there. Even when I asked stupid questions, which I no doubt did from time to time! Kat explained the process and what would be happening next, it was such a different experience this time. I do honestly feel like Martin & Co cared and wanted to the process to be as painless as possible. If anyone asks me for a recommendation I know exactly where to point them (and also to tell them who to avoid!) If you want a 5-star A+ experience use Martin & Co – I honestly do not think you will regret it.

We sold our house with Martin and Co, dealing mostly with Shehzad and Kat during the process. We cannot fault them, they have been amazing from start to finish, always available to speak to and answer questions and guide us through the process. With their help, the house sold for our asking price within a week of being on the market. They were really proactive in contacting our buyers and solicitors when needed and keeping us up to date with what was going on. We had a lot of issues with our solicitors but having such a great estate agent has kept us sane and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Martin and co to others!
