Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Mather Marshall.Some people say that buying a new home is the second most stressful event in life, after losing a close family member. Well, I've gotta tell you that Mather Marshall made the whole process about as stress free as it could be..Over a period of about 7 months we had 2 offers accepted on 2 properties, and although the agents dealing with both sales talked the talk, neither walked the walk. They were both keen to confirm that we were cash buyers and our bona fides were up to scratch, but not so energetic in easing the vendors' along with their bits and pieces. Consequently, we got nowhere with either property.And then I heard the sound of horse's hooves, and Darren Gilbert of Mather Marshall galloped over the horizon, heading in our direction. I thought it strange that he was dressed in shining Armour, but who am I to judge?He did his estate agent's thing without being too pushy, confirming that we were legit and easing the vendor along with a smile and a gentle nudge. He kept us informed at every stage and we completed in about 6 weeks from first viewing to taking charge of the keys.Darren is a breath of fresh air...and the house isn't bad, either.I would recommend Darren and Mather Marshall without a second's hesitation, in fact, I've already suggested that my daughter, who wants to move out this way, makes good use of Darren's expertise.
