Alan fikss is just the worst, got me in for a viewing, I told him I like to make an offer, he never sent the offer form, then I followed up, he got loads of info from me but in the end never got back to me. Then sent a follow up email and he ignored that too. Shameful service and just lazy
I don't normally review companies but My experience has absolutely been a nightmare with that company, they hold the deposit for months after you check out and they cut it as much as they want. They are so slow and they enter your flat without permission. Definitely not recommended at all.
I have been a tenant with Martin and Co for over six now, and I am extremely disappointed with their maintenance services. For the past six months, I have been reporting several critical maintenance issues in my rental property, and despite numerous follow-ups, nothing has been resolved. Every time I contact them, I receive the same excuse: "We are waiting for landlord consent." This has become incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. The issues in my property are not minor; they affect my daily living conditions and pose potential safety hazards. Yet, Martin and Co seem to have no sense of urgency or responsibility to address them. The lack of communication and transparency is astonishing. As a tenant, I feel completely neglected and unheard. Their inability to manage basic maintenance requests shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for their tenants. I strongly advise anyone considering renting through Martin and Co to reconsider. Their poor handling of maintenance issues and reliance on vague excuses have made my living situation extremely stressful and unpleasant. Save yourself the hassle and look for a more reliable and tenant-focused property management company. P.S This is no reflection on Alan from the lettings team, who has been excellant and very responsive.
Very disappointing property service. Hopefully you will not have to deal with Nicole (Property Manager) who does not care at all. I have a leak in my flat for more than a year and still she haven’ t done anything to fix it. Only thing they can do is increasing your rent. Is a zero star an option?
Pretty disappointing service. Particularly for service requests (for Battersea Power Station), and for closing out the flat. We moved overseas (back home) and the Martin team took months to close the flat and return the security deposit. They also provided us with a cleaning company (we paid) and still charged us for cleaning in our security deposit. Martin is not responsive and almost never helpful. Better off trying to go directly to the landlord.
Had an appointment to view the house , drove 30min, when arrived no one was there, called agency they said it was no appointment. Disappointed with this agency.
Didn’t bother turning up or notifying us that the property had been taken. Nearly and hour later of trying to phone the agent we got the reply “oops forgot”. We had a confirmation email and everything! The First Lady we spoke to was so rude saying that she was only admin and couldn’t contact the agent that was meeting us? So many excuses in one phone call. “Oops forgot” was the response we got from the agent missing the viewing arrangement. We had a confirmation email and everything yet when we phoned after waiting nearly and hour for a house viewing I got the response. “Oops I forgot”. Turns out the place had been taken off the agents yet we were not informed. I had traveled from Chelmsford to Battersea for the viewing THATS a £30 train ticket! Just to wait to hear “oops”. It me so long to get the correct number of the agent we were meeting as in her email as she had put the admin number as her number making it so hard to contact her. The admin lady was rude as we and was very unhelpful in getting information as to wear the agent was. So rude do not recommend at all.NegativeProfessionalism
