Steve Taylor, the Branch Manager in Newmarket takes advantage of immigrants. Our friends came from Czech to work with horses in Newmarket. They packed up all of their possessions in their car and have been living with us while they transition. STEVE TAYLOR stole 280 pounds for a reference check, cannot show the copy or any proof of this reference check, then told our friends that they did not pass the check, AFTER PROMISING that they could move in an apartment in a couple days. They came home defeated, as we all would be. My husband and I promised to help them and tell them everything will be OK. We all went back to his office across from The Shoes Pub to demand a refund. He was stern, unapologetic, arrogant and condescending. He began talking down to our friends and making them feel inferior to him! He was blaming our Czech friends for his criminal behaviour! He demanded that my friends tell him where they are moving to, when they are moving, and tried to convince them to rent his property. I told my friends, "DO NOT ANSWER HIM. HE HAS NO RIGHT TO KNOW THIS INFORMATION, HE IS BEING COMPLETELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. THIS MAN IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF IMMIGRANTS WHEN THEY ARE THE BACKBONE OF THIS COMMUNITY. HE IS STEALING MONEY AND I WILL REPORT HIM TO THE POLICE." WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARTIN & CO. OR WITH STEVE TAYLOR. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF AND WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY FOR 280 POUNDS.
