Martin & Co – AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Martin & Co is nothing but a greedy, dishonest letting agent that scams tenants out of their deposits. After renting a property through them for five years, leaving it in better condition than I received it, they are now trying to steal £546.58 from my deposit for so-called “repairs” that the property owner himself confirmed he would cover—which I have in writing! They left my family without heating or hot water for 9 days, forcing us to relocate, and as a result, my daughter developed bronchitis. No apology. No compensation. Just complete disregard for tenants’ rights. Looking at their terrible reviews, I now see I’m far from the only one they’ve done this to. Their business model is built on ripping people off. If you rent through them, be prepared to fight for your own money back. I will be escalating this to Safe Deposit Scotland, the Property Ombudsman, and my solicitor—and I suggest anyone else scammed by them do the same. DO NOT RENT WITH MARTIN & CO.
