We asked Normie to value our property with a view to put it up for sale last year. We decided to ask Normie first as they were the ones we purchased the property from 3 years earlier. Nigel visited for the valuation and after a brief walk around provided a valuation of £140,000… this came as quite the shock considering Normie had the property up at £145,000 when we put our offer in 3 years earlier with the same agent. The property had been renovated with the entire back yard having been redone - something Nigel did not seem interested in as he declined to view. Long story short we had several more valuations, none of which lower than £175,000. In the end we went with Jennie Platt estate agents and sold our house for £195,000.
