Started of well but minutes after all the monies were paid, they didnt give a toss about the problems I had in my new property on the night I moved in. Namely Daniel. They ignored my phonecalls and emails despite barely missing any correspondence from me prior to signing the contract. Never got my copy of the signed tenancy until now. Charged for things that they never even did. Very very very unprofessional. Disappointed
Utterly appalling service ever since they took over the management of our house , no rental agreement sent , no notice given about increase in rent , takes weeks to get anyone to come out if something wrong , do not respond to emails and when you eventually get to speak to a human being they have no idea what is going on and say they will respond in writing or email and they don’t . Wish I could get hold of my landlord and tell him not to waste his money on them managing the property because quite frankly they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery . Don’t go near them !!
came home from work to no heating in February when it had been snowing. The water pressure was low on the meter so there was no heating or hot water. I called up the water suppliers who stated it was the agency's duty of care to handle. I spoke to the agency and they gave me the number for the plumber. I called for 2 hours, leaving voicemails, no response and no call back. The agency kept messaging the urgency, but to no avail. I was told to wrap up in blankets and wait. I have not received any phone call from the plumber, and I cant feel my feet and I have cold. Absolutely terrible. I am still waiting for a call back.
Even if you pay them cash for the month's rent, you have to pay them one day ahead! So if your rent is due on the 1st, then pay cash on the 30th. Very disappointed.
I left a review: By far the worst estate agents I've ever dealt with. The degree of unprofessionalism they display is horrific and I regret ever renting with them. My partner and I have been renting from the 1st of December and have had nothing but trouble from them. It's remarkable how, before I signed the lease, I was pestered with calls and repeated emails urging me to rent a property with Streets Ahead. As soon as we signed and handed over our deposit, we heard nothing more from them. We were constantly passed from person to person when we tried to enquire further with regards to our moving in. When we eventually received the keys to the property we discovered that the house was in an utterly disgusting state. It was evident that NOTHING had been cleaned. The toilet seat was completely broken, ELEVEN lightbulbs needed to be replaced. There were clumps of hair on the floor, congealed food glued to the fridge and unwanted junk (including a pair of dirty socks, thanks) that the previous tenants left. We immediately wrote a detailed letter outlining everything that was broken/required repair and requested that the house be cleaned to habitable standards as we were due to move in that weekend. We heard... nothing. The next day we tried to call the office three times. Each time we were told that our property manager - Kelly Alleyne - was on another call, but would return our call as soon as she was free. And we heard... nothing! We then went to the office the following day (in the middle of trying to move) to speak to the manager, Kunal Patel. He certainly made all the appropriate noises, claimed Kelly was off sick the day before (?!?!?!?!?) but she would respond to us the next week. No apology was made for the state of the property, no remuneration offered. I did indeed receive a message from Kelly as promised (I have come to learn, this is a miracle) assuring me she would call later. SPOILER ALERT. She did not call. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. We have been emailing and calling for TWO MONTHS trying to sort out the most basic of amenities. It took six weeks to receive an inventory checklist which was promised to us the day we moved in. We eventually received compensation for the mess we found the property in, but all the repair work they promised would take place as not occurred. We currently have no lights in the bathroom or lounge and barely any light in the kitchen because we are waiting for repair work to be taken out by Streets Ahead. However, as Kelly as ignored the last six emails we have sent, I doubt this will happen. AVOID STREETS AHEAD AT ALL COSTS ** Helpful Hint ** If you are a current tenant renting through Streets Ahead, and have trouble with them, contact the landlord directly and make them aware of the situation. They're an appalling company who don't deserve any business.
One of the worst estate agents group. Very rude attitude, unprofessional people. No manners at all in 9 out of 10 employees. My advice to the MD is to send your resources to soft skill training. Teach them how to behave, respond and have proper communication. Should be ashamed of themselves.
Really shockingly poor service. Let a flat through them on a let only and the whole process especially the paperwork side of things has been shockingly substandard and painful to witness. I wanted to take my own rent guarantee policy out but nearly a month later am still waiting for the documents the insurance company asked for that I requested from them (ID and proof of address). They said they will cancel my policy if I don't provide it now and I have chased up Streets Ahead via email and phone calls. No one is getting back to me and they keep passing the buck to different staff members. George the lettings manager who was so keen to take on my property has now done a disappearing act!! Will not recommend or use again!!!
by far the poorest service, moved out of a property a month ago, have been trying to contact Kelly , but she does not respond to mails for return of the deposit
Streets Ahead are the worst of the worst for at least three reasons; they recently put up a ‘Let’ sign outside our building when nothing was even for rent, and it wasn’t until I’d vandalised the sign (I pasted the word ‘Liars’ over the word ‘Let’) that they took it down. They gave back the entire deposit to the outgoing filthy dirty stinking tenants who left our other place looking like a bomb made of shite had hit it despite being in possession of dozens of photos showing what a mess the tenants had made. Then with the new tenants, when SA realised they’d accidentally undercharged us £100 for their alleged services, they didn’t tell us, they just took it out of our new tenants’ deposit, which technically is theft. Streets Ahead are completely and utterly absolutely fucking useless, they are not fit for purpose. Nikki Grewal, Dan Somebody or other and Nick Durkin, all in the Crystal Palace branch were especially shite. I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire.
I would definitely not recommend this service to my friends and I'm deeply regret that I rented out my flat through your agency.
