Intercounty do an appalling job for their sellers. Firstly, after a whole load of enthusiasm at the start, empty promises and inane chat about how I'd have 'no problem' selling my modern family house in a booming sellers' market, they managed to organise just three viewings in a month. I then switched to another agent, who sold my house for the asking price in three days, before they'd even had to put it on Rightmove. I also looked at a house on the market with Intercounty in January, was extremely interested, made an offer that wasn't much below the asking price, but was told the sellers wouldn't even consider my offer until I put my own house on the market (with Intercounty) - despite the fact I was a cash buyer (ie not dependent on my house selling). I can only assume Intercounty got greedy for two sets of commission, but ultimately, this greed cost them the sale: I decided I didn't want to market my house until I knew I had somewhere else to go. I see from Intercounty's website that that house is still on the market now, six months later.
