When a leaflet was posted through our letterbox from Ewemove, we took up the offer of a free valuation. We had decided that we would like to sell our property after my mum passed away in January 2022, although quite emotional and scary, we need to downsize. Andrew Davy was so nice and friendly. When he first came to value he was immediately surprised at how big the garden was and how lovely the cabin (annex) was in the garden, that my mum had lived in for almost 7 years. He stated that it would be the selling point for our property. He was both thorough and down to earth about our home. He valued it at a price higher than we initially expected but as he said, “it’s better to start reasonably high, because you will then hopefully achieve a good price”, and the valuation wasn’t unrealistic. The “For Sale” post went up on Tuesday 15th March, if I remember correctly, around teatime...there hadn’t been 3 calls to Andrews office before it even went online!!! ...Our first viewing was on Saturday 19th at 2pm....the next was on Monday 21st March...the 3rd was on Friday 25th and one more on Saturday 26th. The couple that viewed on the 25th made us an offer!!!! More than we had anticipated too! We were thrilled and of course, and accepted officially on Monday 28th March!! So within 10 days it had sold!!! We couldn’t believe it! Fortunately we had found our new place, back up in North Yorkshire near Thirsk, not far from where we once lived for about 6 years, 25 years ago....it feels like home! We cannot thank Andrew enough for his personal attention and his hard work at achieving such quick results. Fingers crossed now that all goes well. Whilst we are sad to leave this home, we are excited to be setting out on a new adventure and new chapter in our lives. I’m certain my mum would be pleased that we’re happy and going to enjoy the rest of our days and retirement in a place we love. We hope too that the family who have bought our much loved home will be as happy here as we have been for nearly 21 years. We wish them all the best and hope they create some lovely memories here, as we have over the years. We would recommend Ewemove to anyone thinking of selling their property, and especially Andrew who gives a friendly and personal service. Like he said, “it is the biggest asset we possess and we put everything into our homes, therefore doing valuations for people, deserves respect and consideration”.
