I recently had a truly awful experience with Whitegates estate agents , and I feel compelled to share my story so others can avoid the same distress. I had an offer accepted on a property they were marketing, and everything seemed to be progressing smoothly. However, without any communication whatsoever, Whitegates removed the property from the market. This left me in an incredibly difficult position, as I had already accepted an offer on my own property based on the understanding that I would be moving into the house they were selling. The lack of communication was appalling. Not only did they fail to inform me of their decision, but when I contacted them to understand what had happened, the employee I spoke with displayed a complete lack of empathy. They essentially blamed me for not keeping them informed of the status of my own property sale. I was under the impression that it was their responsibility to manage the sale process and keep all parties informed. It seems this is not the case. This situation has left me with nowhere to go. I am now scrambling to find a new property, having already sold my own home. The stress and inconvenience this has caused are immense. What makes this even more disturbing is that I have since spoken to other individuals who have used Whitegates in the past, and they have reported similar experiences. It appears this lack of communication and disregard for clients is common practice for this firm. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Whitegates in South Elmsall to think very carefully. My experience has been incredibly stressful and costly, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same ordeal. Their lack of communication, coupled with their apparent lack of concern for the impact of their actions on their clients, is simply unacceptable.
