From day one they inspired confidence and have gone " the extra mile" to ensure satisfaction. The level of service I have received has exceeded my expectations!
I cannot praise Merril and Richard at Martin & Co St Albans highly enough for their professional and helpful approach. As a Landlord, this is so important for peace of mind - knowing that any problems will be solved quickly and efficiently. When my current tenant moves on, I know that Martin & Co will soon find a fully referenced tenant fast.
I never ended up letting a place from these guys in the end because the job i was hoping to get fell through. Having said this, and telling the team of guys therethis was the case... that didn't stop them from treating me as if i was there favourite customer. Nothing but praise for the guys working at this Martin& CO branch. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to these guys if an oppurtunity arose nearby.

From the moment we met Merril & Richard we knew we were going to entrust our property to them to manage our tenants for us. We received first class service and they spent as long as was required to find out about our requirements to ensure they sourced the most suitable tenants for us. We secured a very good tenant almost immediately and every communication with us as landlords and with our tenants have been fast, accurate and dealt with effectively to completion. I would recommend Martin & Co in St. Albans to any landlord and tenant and would never use anyone else. Having moved abroad in the meantime, Merril & Richard have continued to provide the same seamless service and communication with no changes at all and is as if we still lived in the UK. Thank you for complete peace of mind.

Company to avoid at all cost : 5 years of hate crimes in a tenancy This company has harassed me during 5 years. They tried to evict me by all means including trying to kill me. They eventually evicted me without serving any notice and stole for 3 millions pounds of my belongings, leaving me homeless for no reason knowing I am an old woman living on her own with a physical disability. This company should be avoided at all cost by anyone who respect Human Rights. I have not met one person in this company during the last 5 years that were respecting them. They play mind games with tenants. Protect Human Rights and stop giving money to this company, you will regret it at some point and you will regret the money given to them and they will make sure you will lose more! They came for instance several times to damage the property and the garden and asked me to pay for the damages they have done! These people should be in prison or be left homeless the same way they manipulate to make good tenants with no fault tenancies become homeless! This company deserves nothing more than bankruptcy for all the criminal offences they made to me during 5 years in my tenancy!
Rented a property with them in St Albans. After the experience I had this was the last property I rented and so glad I got out of the rental market. They really make no exception for charging you fees and treating you as a second class citizen. We rented a flat needing attention but was ok for our needs. On moving out we got penalised for the things that were typical of an ageing property that had not been maintained- ageing paint, worn carpets, tatty bath fittings etc. Ultimately we took it to a dispute service but that experience was a joke and offers no real consideration or accurate assessment. The lesson learned was that you have to document every tiny insignificant scratch or fingerprint on moving in, otherwise the system of Martin and Co will penalise you and take more of your money when moving out. Add-on: Yes there will be no record for me because the property was rented under the other tenants name.
Martin and Co review It's rather easy to get 5 star reviews when there are no issues to deal with. However, a company, in my opinion, is judged on how well they deal with problems and Martin and Co have demonstrated to be shockingly bad. Martin and Co St Albans, have incredibly unhelpful staff that stop replying to emails with concerns about how their tenants are behaving and treating property and neighbours. We communicated well over 40 days ago and requested that the debris and obstructions be removed from around the property, to enable access to our first floor property. The tenant, who martin and Co placed in the property have admitted in writing that they are responsible for the tenants conduct, and yet, it’s like a rubbish dump (see photo attached), there are discarded belongings and furniture along with a large plastic shed (which could have been located anywhere else in the garden, other than directly below) blocking access to the first floor property, for maintenance etc. As a result, we haven't been able to get our windows cleaned, the sky engineer cannot access the dish, and we cannot get the gutters cleaned out which are overflowing with debris and growing shoots, being located next to many tall trees, which means the water flows down the property face and not entirely in the gutter. Whatever the circumstances may be, it isn't appropriate to cause neighbouring properties an inconvenience, when the issue has been raised more than once, to just be ignored, sums up how they approach issues when they arise. Martin and Co St Albans - Unprofessional and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs.
