Terrible customer service. Stay away from Marin & Co. When we moved in we were lied to, they told us the boiler was gas to get a sale. We wouldn’t have moved in if we had known. We had nothing but troubles, the electric boiler was intermittent, we didn’t have hot water for a month! Yet all Martin and Co said was I’ll get back to you (which they never did). The people in the flat above played music loudly every night and day and smoked weed. I tied to get this situation resolved through Martin & Co but guess what The problem didn’t go away. They are now trying to pass the existing problems onto us. Good thing we took pictures when we moved in and when we left. Apparently when anything goes wrong like electrics we have to pay for it. And they will always say We have done all that we could, no matter how little they actually do. We have been bullied and treated unfairly during our whole stay.

Thank you for your feedback. When you viewed the property it was not clear if the boiler was electric or gas you being a gas engineer did not pick this up. Once established what type of boiler this was the landlord offered you a reduction in rent which you accepted. Recently you reported the boiler was faulty the landlord authorised the replacement and was fitted in the correct timeframes. We cannot govern what neighbours do, when you reported the issue the council were notified. Regarding your deposit this is lodged with the DPS. We use a third party inventory clerk who reported the works required and deductions were made from the deposit. If you feel these deductions are not justified you can dispute them with the DPS who will agree with you or the inventory clerk and award accordingly.
