Trusted the agency to manage my rental property for 2 years and this has been returned with a damaged wall&tiles and a number of missing items. Ingoing / Outgoing inventory totally inadequate and extremely poor customer service. Disappointing at least, will never use again.

This has been the worst experience of my life! Belvoir Lettings simply have no clue what they're doing. First I move into the property only to find I cannot connect the telephone or the internet as the phone lines don't actually run to the house. Then I find out as the house was formerly a holiday home and the electricity is provided by a commercial provider who charges double that of what residential providers charge. When I confronted Belvoir about this they told me it was a situation of my own making when I had not asked the company to provide me with electricity or had I given them my personal details - Belvoir had. Then the washing machine kept blowing fuses, they sent out an electrician who couldn't find any fault other than a "bad earth" connection and that was that - the washing machine still doesn't work and I've been unable to do any washing for a month. All of these things are things that can happen - what really offends me is how they took a "it's nothing to do with us we're just the letting agency" attitude, that's what I find disgraceful about Belvoir lettings. Avoid at all costs or minimum check things like internet availability, electricity provider and other basic amenities within the property as after you've signed that lease and paid your deposit they will wash their hands of you. You've been warned - They're THAT bad!!!

I've rented in Scotland for 5 years and Belvoir are the worst letting agency I have ever been with. They are unprofessional and they do not use registered agency's for repair and cleaning. They were not helpful when it came to mould in my property, they did not provide me with a bike shed key, they allowed strangers access to my property without my knowledge, the workmen left my flat in a mess and I had to chase them for a month before they took action to return my deposit. Worst of all they said I would have to continue to pay �1,100 per month for my flat if I signed another tenancy but when they advertised it online they had reduced the rent by �100 per month. I would not use Belvoir again and I will not be recommending them to my friends or family.

The agent didn't respond in a reasonable timescale to numerous calls for things within the flat to be fixed. They only responded after chasing them several times. The agent didn't make contact but purely waited for us to call. In our experience, this agent doesn't listen to the tenant at all and has the worst customer service approach I have ever seen.
