I usually don’t like to write a review. I own a business and don’t like when people are complaining unreasonable, But my experience with Martin & Co made me write one. I was in a 12 month tenancy agreement and i wanted to move out from the property before the end of my tenancy,. I was happy to pay the release fee which was £360. I paid the fee and they had 5 months time to relet the property. They put it on the market, they had lots of viewings ( more than 20). But they didn’t give it to anyone, why? My tenancy agreement ended 5 months after paying the release fee. The flat was let by another letting agency straight after I left it. So i was charged £360 for nothing and they put me in a stressful situation. My only concern is why they couldn’t let it again in that long time while the other agency did it within 2 weeks for the same price. BE AWARE !!!

Currently undergoing a horrendous end-of-tenancy nightmare with this branch. They were extremely welcoming at the start of the tenancy. Then less than two years in, they announced, cheerily, via an unexpected phonecall, that the house was up for sale, giving us less than two months to find a new place, no help finding an alternative, and all they want to do is quibble about exactly how much money I owe them! They know we have a small baby, and they do not care. I have rented in three countries. These are THE worst. Beware!!
BEWARE!!! they will not look after you once you move in i.e making sure faults are fixed and the worst is AT THE END OF TENANCY THEY WILL COLLUDE WITH THE LANDLORD TO TAKE ALL YOUR DEPOSIT.

LANDLORDS BEWARE: the new letting management team at M&C will not call you back, answer your emails or action your requests. Don’t waste your money on them. Find a better agent to that will do the job you are paying them to do. I would have rated them 0 stars if I could. IGNORE THE VITRIOLIC RESPONSE ABOUT ME NOT BEING A LANDLORD - IT IS SIMPLY THEIR REFUSAL TO ACCEPT ANY CRITICISM OF BAD SERVICE. WHAT A POOR ATTUTUDE. NOT A LACK OF APOLOGY OR ANY SENCE OF RESPONSIBILITY.
Richard Croft the letting agent is extremely rude and the office encourage guzumping. Best not to use if you want to rent a property and to use a more reputable agent
