We have recently bought a house through Goodfellows and the experience we had was horrendous. The sale manager of the branch was aggressive and rude throughout the whole process, pressuring us to make a decision that we were not confident in, shouting on the phone when we had disagreed with his intention. Clearly this tone was set from the top as his junior was the same. Continuous pressure and hostility was the norm and you could tell they only care about the money that goes in their pocket rather than their clients. It’s clear this didn’t only happen to us as everyone around the area knows their reputation to be belittling and hostile. I am not usually the person to write reviews and badly portray anyone, but this is me wishing that this experience does not happen to anyone else and hope the branch, especially their sale manager, realise how disgusting their service is. I do not recommend nor will I recommend to anyone looking to let, sell or buy a property.

Dear Sunny , we are very disappointed that you feel so negative about our agency. As you are aware we have followed up on your complaint and we have listened to you and we do know that during a transaction all parties can experience stress but we would say that your purchase was agreed in January and that you exchanged at the beginning of August with a completion towards the end of August, so the eight months of buying would be stressful to most people . We do act for the seller and they were buying a New Build which kept changing the completion dates which added to the stress of the situation. We honestly feel that the team in Carshalton Beeches are not as you would have them portrayed although we are not questioning you on how you felt as that is personal to you but what we would say is that we are there for our seller and they could not help the delay as their purchase was not able to complete sooner. We have great faith in the team at Carshalton Beeches and there are many good 5 star reviews that would confirm this and we sincerely hope that in the future and following on from my personal calls to you that you will once again consider using our services as that would always be our aim, to retain goodwill and hopefully help you move in the future. Left us to move into a dirty house with numerous issues. When I've tried to get help from them, they bat me away. It's also our landlord's fault so I'm not blaming Goodfellows 100%, but they could have done a lot more to make the property we've rented clean and enjoyable to live in.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

The staff are not professional over the phone and many times I have called in, they answered and immediately hung up, not sure what the point of that may be. Quite frankly when they say they’ll call you back, just means they’re giving you the bird.

I put in a request to view a house one week ago with some dates and times and STILL have had no response. I was sent to a site to add more details about myself before someone at goodfellows would call me back. On principle alone they have now lost that SALE! An estate agent that doesn’t reply to email or even contact to arrange a viewing isn’t one I will be dealing with! EDIT: After leaving this review just received a very angry sounding voice Mail accusing me of lying and saying messages have been left. I have evidence that today after this review is the first contact received. I have NOT been contacted until today and only when I left this review. Very poor service and trying to bully me to take a viewing nearly a week after requested! UnbelievableNegativeResponsiveness

I dealt with the Carsharlton branch and tried repeatedly to put in an offer after a viewing. After a week of being told I will receive a call back I'm still waiting. Very frustrating.

Who likes Estate agents

They took a 12 month tenancy fee from us however the tenant only stayed for 6 months. Have been asking for our other 6 months to be refunded and still no response. Beware some of their staff don’t have basic grammar or communication skills and are extremely pushy when dealing with clients. To their credit there’s Mandy-Sue who is helpful some of the time.
