brought my property from them back in 2006. offer was agreed. then received a phone call to say someone else had offered £5k more. so I ended up having to fork out another £5k. I was a first time buyer and was completely stressed out of my head...very upsetting as I thought I was going to lose out. The word gazumping springs to mind! Without doubt the worst company I have ever come across. Rude, unprofessional, money hungry liers that are not worthy of 1 star. The amount of trouble I have had with Whitegates Huddersfield is astonishing. I am quite disgusted that estate agents like this actually exist. Bottom line is, they are very quick to take your money, adding loads of unjustified additional costs, and then will ignore you, lie to you and never resolve any of your issues.

Awful company, always late to viewings very rude on the phone. They say things then they say they didn’t say it even though we had it recorded funny huh, they deny everything, they’re so rude, they turned up 25mins late to a viewing and said do t rush over so we didn’t, we arrived a few minutes after the time and they had gone we called them and said oh he’s gone to another viewing.. and they said they didn’t say don’t rush, just complete liars.

Unfriendly, bullying

Agreed to rent a house from Whitegates with conditions that it would be cleaned up top to bottom. Landlord and Whitegates messed me about and because of them I didn't get to move in until a month later than agreed. No respect for tenants, poor service.
