They don't even deserve 1*. They are the worst agency ever, don't ever go to them in any cases. Me and my boyfriend were looking for a house for next year and we found one online. We saw that it is throughout Whitegates so we called them and arranged a viewing for next day. We fell in love with the house but they told us that the landlord wants us to move now or he can't promise to keep the house for us till September. Somehow the agency "convinced" him to keep the house for us and they told us we need to pay £250 administration fee to keep the house for us. After we paid the money they told us that the last thing we need to do is to fill in an application form and to submit it, but the form was for another letting agency. The application form was ridiculous. We filled it in but all the time after we submitted it, they wanted from us new information and things that we need to provide them. After two-three weeks I got a call from Whitegates telling me that my form was declined and we lose the house and that they will pit it back on the market. I asked them if we'll get our money back and they said that it's nonrefundable. So now we lost £250, our time and we don't have a property where to live. Don't you ever go to them.

Awful company, always late to viewings very rude on the phone. They say things then they say they didn’t say it even though we had it recorded funny huh, they deny everything, they’re so rude, they turned up 25mins late to a viewing and said do t rush over so we didn’t, we arrived a few minutes after the time and they had gone we called them and said oh he’s gone to another viewing.. and they said they didn’t say don’t rush, just complete liars.

Without doubt the worst company I have ever come across. Rude, unprofessional, money hungry liers that are not worthy of 1 star. The amount of trouble I have had with Whitegates Huddersfield is astonishing. I am quite disgusted that estate agents like this actually exist. Bottom line is, they are very quick to take your money, adding loads of unjustified additional costs, and then will ignore you, lie to you and never resolve any of your issues.

They also try to charge as much as possible (the deposit) for the cleaning service after you moved out. As a former student, I advise by my heart to all ya student to stay away from this agent.

Worse 6 month tenancy ever, never fixed any issues I'd reported and then try stealing most of the bond money with stupid charges e.g £5 charge for dust on each skirting board!! Previous tenant told me he was charged £300 which they'd taken out of his bond but they'd never did any of the repairs he was charged for! AVOID!!!!
