Good letting agent, tight landlord!

Our property manager Sue was fantastic and communicative, some of her earlier colleagues let the side down before we were handled by Sue. Inventory report wasn’t well conducted and left a little vague initially and a few maintenance issues were a hassle. But when Sue took over we had a much better experience of Martin & Co. Shame the landlord is unable to do more work to improve the flat.

Good communication from staff

I am an existing tenant renting with Martin and Co in Leeds. This year Sue (Sue Wilson) was assisting us in our new contract and other issues regarding the house. Response was prompt and help was always provided. Sue was also very considerate and would follow up issues that we raised. A way better experience in our rental house contract this year !

A rollercoaster

Over the past 8 months, I’ve had a rollercoaster of feelings towards Martin & Co. At the start of our relationship, I couldn’t fault how insightful, approachable and professional Kate the MD was with understanding both my options in terms of selling or renting. There have though been challenges along the way, caused by a tenant which I’ve felt could have been better managed/supported with by Martin & Co. Communication is always key to helping you as a landlord gain confidence and trust in the management of your property. On multiple occasions, it’s felt like I’ve been chasing Martin & Co for an update rather than regularly being kept up to date. Or not getting the call/email back as promised which has been the most frustrating experience. However, most recently my faith in Martin & Co in providing an expected service as part of the fees charged, has been somewhat restored by the services of Sue who has picked up a property not in her portfolio at speed, to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Delivering on her word with communication commitments and providing valuable insight to help me in unknown territory. Ultimately, quickly installing some confidence and trust, to improve my experience as a landlord. Thank you!

Hafiz has been really prompt in fixing the issues of my flat. My property manager was on AL when I was handed the flat. The flat was handed to me in below standard level but Hafiz kindly managed to solve few urgent issues promptly to make the place habitable despite not being my property manager. He himself inspected the flat when I was frustrated about the condition it was given to me .

Rented a studio flat for over a year in Leeds. Overall, the service we received was excellent. We were left to enjoy our flat and the letting agents were easily reached. The only issue we had was getting repairs done in a timely fashion. Although this was a problem our letting agents did manage to sort out financial compensation for us which we greatly appreciated.

Isobel Kamiya is taking care of renting out my property. She is sorting out any issues efficiently and I am receiving a good personal treatment. A point of improvement would be a more timely response to the different issues that arise, but the important thing is that they get them solved.
