Once you rent it, it becomes pretty much useless for any fixing or agreements that were made verbally. You have to deal with rudeness and lies all the time. I feel sad for all the tenants signing up with them.
very unprofessional behaviour
The agents at the call center are not at all helpful, they are prejudiced as to rent it out. Very busy they might be, I get it but seems not at all interested in renting the properties. We can hear it in the voice. not calling them again for sure!
very poor service...
Trying to rent a house with them since 1 march and unfortunately after 21 days waiting process and calling them every few days to ask for updates they Phone me today to say that we don't meet the landlord request as we will move from different town and one secure job with over 28.000 £ it's not enough to pay a 750£ monthly. I spoke all this before starting the application so we don't waist my time and her time and was every think OK until today, I even spoke with her that my wife has a job secure all-ready as she will be back to her previous job when we move there, I all-ready advise my landlord we will be moving as we applied for a new rent in diff town. So all-together is stay away from them as they are not trusty, they will say ,,Sorry we are short staff and we will be back to you soon'' and soon means weeks ... Disappointing
Been with Northwood over 10 years, fully managed. While a tenant is in and they don't have to do much, everything is fine. As soon as their is an issue, or a tenant leaves however, the extent of the chaos, unprofessionalism and disorganization becomes clear. Am leaving their service and would suggest thinking about a different agent, especially if you want a fully managed service
Staff are totally clueless, don't know what's going on, obviously don't communicate with each other and are totally unhelpful
You can't ask someone for a guarantor based on their disability. My partner met the affordability criteria, has a job, but is disabled. PERMANENTLY. He was born with a physical disability. But the agent was happy to talk to him until the moment he mentioned he had PIP. Then it was "Oh we require you to have a homeowner guarantor if you receive benefits" He asked "Is it purely because of my disability that I have to have one?" She said "Yes, if you receive a benefit you have to have one" I hope you know that's housing discrimination violating the Equality Act of 2010. Very sad that letting agents think they can get away with discrimination against someone who is disabled.
ZERO STARS !! Being told you can’t view/ rent a property because you don’t work FT, despite the fact you have over £50k in the bank, can prove your salary with payslips and bank statements and offer to pay 6mnths rent upfront! I’m fortunate enough to be able to not work all the time and as a high earner I’m being penalised/ discriminated against! Absolute pathetic, as was the repeating of “ can’t arrange a viewing” over and over again from the staff member! Ask you’re bloody Landlord if they’d like 6 mnths rent upfront ( accompanied by the evidence of income/ financial stability to back it up) Discrimination as it’s core!
