Paid rent on time for five years and they never had any issues with the state of the apartment (multiple inspections a year!). But now that they have to return the additional rent I paid and provide the status on my deposit, communication has been nothing but terrible. It seems like you are working with professional people when you are looking to rent but I think what matters more is how they wrap things up at the end of leases. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Bad experience. Not recommended. Awful awful experience with Samuel Prats. Just awful. Save yourself sanity and piece of mind.
The company use electronic documents. Do not sign these as they are totally out of your control. I left a provision in the box provided that had been agreed only to find not on the electronic version; which i had to ask for a copy of as it was not provided. They also use Letting Hub who are a specialist insurer and reference agency. They were rude, demanding and abrupt. I specifically told them not to talk to my accountants and they went ahead, found the number, and called them anyway. Unreal. The guy I was dealing with was nice enough although he promised something he simply lied about later. Unfortunately i trusted him and the provision i left in the agreement was deleted. I can't even find that document now. My biggest gripe is the number of departments and forms. You get them from everywhere. The company must be run by accountants, always a bad idea, to whom cost efficency is more important than client service. They don't seem to realise the bigger cost is not having anyone want to deal with you. They also claimed the flat would be professionally cleaned. Black scuff marks and greasy stains were left all over the walls but that, apparently, is not dirt and so doesn't get cleaned. No doubt they will reply with some idiot platitudes, If they make any changes or improve i will update the review later. That way we can see if platitudes were in fact calls to action.
Judging by the quality of the tenants from this agent, I really do wonder if they do actually get any references for their tenants. So far, we have had one who kept dumping rubbish in the wrong place, a weed smoking dealer, and another one of unsavoury character with lots of noise and unwanted extra visitors and drama. Think twice before using them. You might get a tenant, but your property might not be the same after they move out!
Stirling Ackroyd are a terrible estate agency and I would not recommend them to anyone. They made our moving process extremely difficult and nearly everyone I spoke with was rude and unprofessional. They made promises about the flat which they then went back on the day we moved into the flat. Avoid them if you can as they are not a tenant friendly agency.
“Incredibly unhelpfully" After moving in our flat our kitchen stop to work ... And till now is still not working after one month . We called who meant to help us in case of issues ,and after " ONE MONTH" we still waiting for this help.
Super poor back-office service. Aggressive to both landlord and tenant - and multiple mistakes in the contracting process. Little attention to details.
