I am having difficulty using Lenwells on line service and have tried to several times to get help with this. In fact I am still waiting for a reply to an e-mail that I sent last week (or even the week before) following up a previous e-mail requesting help that was sent on September 24th (five weeks ago) Because Lenwells maintenance section is centralised in Luton, my properties in Northampton get very poor service .
The process to rent a property took so long and was so painful. The agency took the fees very quickly but took an age to process the application and didn't seem to know what was going on or prepared to work for the fee they took. You have no choice other than to pay upfront then it becomes a lottery as to whether the application is a success which means you're financially at risk. Not at all value for money. Not at all happy with the service, in fact it was pretty pathetic.
I had the extremely unfortunate 'pleasure' of dealing with these crooks. I rented from them, always paid every single rent on time and was in turn given shocking service. I was left to live with a water leak in my kitchen for weeks Our bath cracked and again was left with no repair I made official complaints and was told they find themselves to have done nothing wrong - of course you haven't lenwell! A close friend has also had a very similar experience where lenwell have tried to keep all their deposit despite returning their flat in good order. Basically a bunch of crooks who will take your money and do nothing for it. I sincerely hope they go out of business.
terrible agency made only to grab your money they will charge you for everything for example they charge 30 pounds for references if you need them for some other agency and they taking move out fee from deposit, every day im getting spam from them about new properties on the end i get long list what i should cleanup and information that lenwell is recomending cleanup comany frendly to them. never ever agin
We originally contracted Lenwell property management services because we were resident abroad and though it would make life easier. Originally the service was excellent ,we were very happy with it and their staff. However as time progressed and staff left (and I presume a new computer programme introduced) we had nothing but error after error with statements that were unintelligible. ..and wrong. . When questioned, the responses were at best condescending , otherwise rude. We have cancelled our contract with them and manage the properties ourselves. Not only are we saving in excess of £7000 a year before VAT, and expenses, but also saving time. I no longer have to waste time trying to decipher their obscure accounts and chase up things not done . Also works we habe done ..by the same contractors they use cost us half the price..they obviously load in a significant commission. ..Finally I had tenants contact me and specifically ask if they could deal with me direct and not through Lenwell as they had been upset by them. I am so sorry it worked out badly as their original staff were charming and efficient..a pleasure to deal with. I suspect much of their problems are due to the current office manager's lack of skill in dealing with problems or working outside "systems". Poor management then reflects on staff. I really could not recomend their services at the moment and would suggest to client landlords to monitor all their charges for contractors...especially cost of Gas safety certificates 100%Mark up...
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THE WAY I HAVE BEEN TREATED WITH THE STAFF OF LENWELL IN PARTICULAR ABIGAIL PRICE AND RICHARD SHARP. UN CLEAR LINE OF COMMUNICATION THEY PROMISE YOU ONE PROPERTY ONLY TO TELL YOU LATER YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE OTHER ONE. THEY ADVERTISE A PROPERTY THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OFF NO VIEWINGS EXPENSIVE AND TOO NOISY HIGHVIEW COURT. THEY ADD UP PRICES THEY DIDNT ADVERTISE THEY TALK BAD ABOUT YOU TO THE LANDLORDS WHEN THEY SEE YOU AS INTIMIDATING AND WONT TAKE THEIR CRAP. THEY JUST CARE ABOUT COMMISSION BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. VERY DISAPPOINTED I DONT RECOMMEND THAT AGENCY AT ALL.
