Had a rollercoaster ride with Martin & Co. In the end they were on my side and helped get my deposit back. I/them were dragged into a bit a sticky situation and I'm just glad they helped me and that the team stuck to their guns in getting the deposit back, as I was rightly entitled to it!

Not the worst agency, but definitely is not a good one. The chance of them replying to your email is 2/10 (one of which is an automatic reply that they are on holiday), nor responding you to release your deposit. You need to follow up … More

Hi Nelson. I am sorry to hear you were so dissatisfied with our service, however after reading your review I have looked into this and feel your comments are very unjust. You took a property with us whilst not actually viewing it yourself, this is against our policy but we were sympathetic with your situation given the fact you were relocating from another country. We accommodated your representative very comprehensively before the tenancy had even started, this also included various visits to the property. I can see that there were emails of yours that weren't responded to, however on many occasions you hadn't even given us chance to get an answer to your query before chasing us. I do also need to point out that the email address you used throughout your tenancy was the main one for the office, this address never has an out of office reply on it. Your deposit did take longer than hoped to return to you, however this was mostly because you were never clear on your intentions towards the end of your tenancy. when your contract was coming up for renewal we were trying to understand what your intentions were but you never said. We tried to access the property for viewings in case you decided to leave but this was refused by yourself, with this we were believing you had decided to stay, however you then returned keys to our office with virtually no notice and advised you would be leaving. You are within your rights to do this at the end of your contract, however it is courteous to give some form of notice at the end of your tenancy, especially given how good the owner had been to you throughout your tenancy. Before any deposit can be released a checkout of the property needs to be booked, this hadn't been done as we weren't aware that you were leaving. Once the checkout had been completed though a full refund of your deposit had been agreed. Given everything that had been done to accommodate you not only during, but before your tenancy even started, I'm extremely disappointed that you have decided to leave such a bad review.

If google allows "no star", I would not give any. So, one star is too much.
