Landlord and seller
I have used Northwood for a number of years to rent out my property in Peterborough and I have to say they have been fantastic throughout. Regular inspections where carried out on the property and photos taken - these were usually emailed to me so that I could keep track of how the property was looking. The team dealt with any minor (and in some cases not so minor) maintenance issues brilliantly and had all the relevant connections to arrange work quickly to make sure my tenants weren't unduly disrupted. They were also fantastic with regard to the information that they gave me about being a landlord and their professional and friendly advice was great. At the start of November 2016 I decided to sell the property and the Northwood team swung into action and by the middle of November I had a firm offer and the house was sold as soon as the current tenants vacated the property. My whole experience with Colin, Andrew and the team has been fantastic and I would happily do business with them all again.

Northwood - Sale Success
After receiving quotations we contracted Northwood following an interview. During the interview Colin Chapman showed enthusiasm, interest and knowledge of current market. We were not disappointed and the sale generated a satisfactory number of prospective buyers and an above expectation final sale value.. Communications and progress chasing by the Agent was excellent. All in all a good and happy conclusion.

Eight years of excellent support and service
Northwood Peterborough have been our agents in two sales, one purchase, and for eight years as letting agents. Our principal agent has been Colin Chapman, with some assistance from Chris Brocklebank in more recent years. They have both been unfailingly polite and helpful, and we have had no reason to make any complaint about the service we have received. As we have not been living locally to the properties concerned, it has been important that we have been able to trust the agents to handle everything on our behalf: they have done this well, with a willingness to go a bit further and do a bit more when we have been unable to do things we might have done ourselves had we been local.

Done in six weeks!
Right from the start of this process Colin has shown an unfaltering desire to go above and beyond in doing what it took to sell our house and ensure it went through smoothly and according to our timescale. The valuation on our house was fair based on the condition of it and from instruction through to sale we had a consistent flow of quality viewers. Once the chain was complete Colin remained completely focused on the sales he was responsible for ( 2 in a chain of 3) and gave me regular updates and always answered his phone. On several occasions he was doing this on his days off. For various personal reasons it was imperative that we completed on 26th Feb and in my opinion this only happened down to Colin's tenacity and relentless chasing of solicitors. Colin sold me my first house 16 years ago at another agency and without a doubt I made the right decision to track him down to sell me my second. He is an asset to his branch and an example to the industry as a whole of what an estate agent should be.

Sale of property
I would like to thank most sincerely the help and support given to me as a first time seller. Also being on my own it is a big responsiblity but with the guidance of Colin Chapman it has gone quite smoothly, but due to no fault on his behalf, Colin has had to chase a solicitor perhaps more than he should for what is a straight forward sale.

Sale of property
We decided to sell our property, having rented it out through Northwood for six years. During that time, the property was never unoccupied and was always inhabited by very good quality tenants. Northwood were always quick to communicate any issues or problems and were always very efficient. At the end of the six years, our property was handed back to us in the same good order as when we began to rent it out. Having decided to sell through Northwood, our property was valued sensibly, details printed and approved, and it was put on the market without delay. Colin was in charge of the sale and he did a brilliant job, especially considering he was confronted with several problems which looked to jeopardise the whole sale. However, Colin pulled out all the stops when our buyers were unfortunately unable to proceed, and he was quick to secure a sale with another purchaser. The sale went through without any further problems and with minimal delay, and we were very pleased with the outcome. He was very professional and provided an excellent service, which we could not fault, and showed much dedication in ensuring the best outcome for us. It was a pleasure to deal with all the staff at Northwood, they were always very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to use their services for renting and selling again in the future. Many thanks to Andrew, Colin and all the staff at Northwood.

Excellent friendly service
I am a charted valuation surveyor and have used Northwood for around 8 years to manage several buy to let properties..They provide a friendly and professional service. I have used their Platinum scheme which provides a guaranteed monthly rental and so avoids unnecessary void periods.

I would like to say if it was not for Colin we would not have got any of the jobs that needed to be done on the property we are letting from Northwood There was so much going wrong with this property but thanks to Colin over 90% of it has been sorted out Thanks to the help we have had from Colin and that is why we have been with Northwood for so long
