Absolutely mortified at the staffs lack of customer service skills. AVOID DARRYL IF POSSIBLE !!!! Whoever the owner of 35 LAUREL WAY is please get in touch !!!!
From a landlord's perspective, this company is atrocious. DDM were supposedly inspecting our property regularly and always gave us positive reports about its condition. But when tenants left after a 5 year let we found they had left over …
Following the purchase of a property through DDM at the end of March I was asked to review my experience although I wasn’t certain I would as my thoughts of their service are mixed. My experience with DDM began at the first viewing where the agent was clearly disinterested and actually left the tenant to show us around the property. Nevertheless, I ended up putting an offer in on the property which was accepted. At this stage I requested that we arrange a second viewing in a couple of weeks once the searches were back, but seemed to hit a brick wall with this.Anyway, then Coronavirus came along and put us all in lockdown. I explained several times that I was not buying the house without a second viewing and despite waiting over a month and chasing on multiple occasions I still didn’t have a viewing and Seller was getting agitated at me!At this point Zoe took over, she was extremely helpful and I could not fault her service. Naturally there were some obstacles with the Virus but my Solicitors (shout out to BG) managed to negotiate in the end. This is when we found the property in an absolute state. After speaking with my Solicitor we did manage to reclaim some costs from the tenants deposit and Jo in DDM lettings was very quick to respond, explain the whole process and to negotiate a settlement in this respect. The floorplan was incorrect and not all measurements were given. As the property was let by DDM there are naturally some things you would expect such as working smoke alarms, gas safety reports and Electric Reports, none of which were provided by the seller and the electric reports were probably not carried out as the electrics in the property were dangerous. The stop tap in the kitchen leaked everywhere and destroyed the kitchen cabinets and the floor. Athough this is more the Sellers dispute with the lettings team.In these unprecedented times it is only natural that errors occur and there are new ways of working but a lot was left to be desired and I would not choose to use DDM when it comes to reselling the property in the future.
Incompetent Staff looking at the reviews obviously home owners come way above tenants rights. The ordeal you have to go through to rent from these is shocking Credit checks . Guarantor . Work references. Fair enough. But not given the correct details all at the same ... Not interested in the fact that the tenant has worked 25 years and never missed a rent payment . One bad credit strike and was refused But took the holding deposit anyway. Weazles. Much better estate agents out there. You don't have to have any qualifications to be an estate agent..... which obviously shows. Estate agents . Not people agents
Not helpful or polite staff at Brigg
They use gas and care to do there plumbing work, and when it inevitably goes wrong they don't care, or send cowboys like gas and care round again!! Avoid these guys.
Their word is worthless and that is how they regard tenants. Disgustingly unprofessional. allow staff to tell you one thing and do not honour it. lousy, no stars, not even the default minimum, -10. negative with capital N. take a look at all the poor reviews for DDM residential. UNPROFESSIONAL
The initial judgemental untowards attitude of the staff dealt with in Barton. Nothing but problems getting stuff sorted. Not pro active at all
I’ve been renting my house for the last 12 years with DDM’s and although not the greatest company, they have suited our needs. In July of this year the tenants left and we discovered that our house was a state!!!! The regular inspections never mentioned half the issues we picked up when we went in and we were totally disgusted with the attitude and service provided. This was made worse with us selling the house, so we weren’t looked after in the normal way you would expect if re-renting!!! The tenants disputed the mess as you would expect, but the photos and evidence in our favour was substantial, but due to DDM’s incompetence and poor management, I ended up paying out of my own pocket, while the Ex tenants laughed at us!!!!! A really poor management company with poor staff who lack the decency to keep you informed of what is going on. I would even go as far as saying that there ‘Go to companies’ in the event of an emergency are overly priced and are cowboys at best. Do not use this company.....disgraceful!!!!!!
Literally would not recommend to my worst enemy.
