Whitegates are an estate agent/letting agency and the business does what it does and what it is supposed to do. We have let our house with them for more than six years and I am satisfied with their services. The purpose of this review is to try and communicate my experience of dealing with them over a long period. Sometimes things go wrong, mistakes, bad mistakes have been made in the past, but they work very hard to correct any problems with a large and complex portfolio to manage, and I must say that their system works very well indeed. There have been no mistakes or problems for the last couple of years and I have been very happy with the service. On the whole the traders they use are very good indeed, but I must urge you to get other quotes if a big job is needed, window replacement for example. I saved myself literally thousands getting other quotes for my windows. The very best thing about Whitegates are the people that work there. I mostly deal with Jo Harrison who has never failed. I can go to her for professional advice, reassurance, and of-course all the regular stuff like small repairs, gas checks, boiler servicing she deals with very quickly and without any fuss or complication. I have always enjoyed interacting with her, and I do feel I can rely on her for anything to do with that property. There has been a lot of contact between us for the past year as I have had a lot of work done on the property, but most of the time it's all pretty quiet, the rent is paid regularly and I can feel relaxed that everything is taken care of. I will adamantly point out that Whitegates are easily the best in the area to use if you want to let your property, don't go anywhere else in Beeston. Thank you in particular to Jo Harrison, but a big thank you also to all staff who work at Whitegates, they are great people to deal with.

I recently rented a property through Whitegates South Leeds, and overall, my experience has been a mix of positives and areas that need improvement. Starting with the good: the renting process was fairly simple and straightforward. The staff at the agency were professional and courteous throughout the application and approval process. They communicated clearly and promptly, making it easy to understand what was required at each step. From viewing the property to signing the tenancy agreement, everything went smoothly and without unnecessary delays. However, there is one significant issue that has affected my experience. It's been over 22 days since I moved in, and I'm still waiting for some necessary repairs to be completed. While I understand that maintenance issues can take time, the delay has been frustrating, especially since these repairs were noted on the first day after I moved in. Despite following up multiple times, the agency has not provided a clear timeline for when these repairs will be addressed. In summary, Whitegates made the initial rental process hassle-free, but the slow response to repair requests has been disappointing. I hope they can improve their after-care services to match the efficiency of their letting process.
