Awful experience and I warn all prospective tenants against using this agency. Throughout the application process we were met with complete disdain, and the lettings negotiator was dismissive and patronising. The process was excessive and stressful, and to add insult to injury, they take a £323 "week's holding deposit". This is non refundable, despite 2 out of 3 of us passing referencing. Being a tenant all my life, I have never had to pay a "week's holding deposit" before. They didn't even warn us that there was a deadline with the HomeLet application, and therefore my partner could not add his tax return or amend his application. Therefore leading us to fail and taking our money and withdrawing our application. The house was then put back on the market online 10 minutes after we had been sent an email stating our application had been withdrawn. Bit of a money maker I think, and judging by the reviews below, I make my judgement correct. I think it was a very lucky escape not going through with the application with this company, given the amount of negative reviews and descriptions listed below. Warning! *EDIT- I contacted the lettings negotiator in question via email about her handling of the process, but to no avail.NegativeProfessionalism

Feedback is always appreciated, whether its negative or positive, particularly if it helps to improve service delivery. We should point out that it is a landlord who takes the decision to decline an application. Reasons vary but include an applicant's failure to declare a County Court Judgement ( CCJ) and also when declared income proves to be less than actual. Holding deposits can be non- refundable when an application for a tenancy is failed by the referencing company. We would be more than happy to discuss this particular applicant's complaint if she would like to contact our office.

Very helpful and finished whole process very quickly while approached for renting, but very unprofessional while left the house. Not interested in refunding deposit. We didn't put single nail on the wall & still they r charing us £900 for repainting, not because of normal wear and tear, but due to scuffs and marks. The agency for inspection of house at the end of tenancy was not at all reliable. We vacated house 3 weeks before hand over & they commented that the house has odour of food, unbelievable. I won't recommend to anybody even in my wildest dream.

Landlords, do not use this agent to rent your property. It has been the worse experience we have ever had. There is an evident lack of proper and profesional care to customers, either tenants or landlords. The service we received from its manager was more in line of the one anyone will receive from a bully, he is definetly not a nice person. We were particularly shocked by the little respect this person showed to prospect tenants. We will never call them again.

Robert Gordon running through firm is not a good person! He made us vacate without any fault ( section 21) in the middle of pandemic! We have two vulnerable ppl in the family shielding ! We almost beg in front of them ! They did not care! He did not stop their ! He has taken all the deposit for renovation!! Incredibly horrendous!!

We are very sorry to read this review. If the sender would like to contact us direct, we are more than happy to discuss. It is of course the landlord who makes the decision to recover possession of a property- not the agent.

Cowboys of an estate agent. Will happily take your money but forget it if you need anything from them. You'll never get your deposit back either.

We are not sure who Scott is, however if he would like to contact us direct we would be more than happy to discuss why he is so unhappy. The return of a tenant's deposit is governed by law, and all deposits collected by this agency are lodged with the Deposit Protection Service. It is not possible for an agent or a landlord to access a tenant's deposit without the agreement of the tenant. Moreover disagreements regarding proposed deductions can and are resolved through Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) - a free and independent service.

Tenants, be very careful with Robert and his team when leaving the property you are renting. They will try to rip you off with abusive dilapidation deductions and keep as much money as possible from your deposit. Take pictures and videos from the property before you leave. Keep any receipts if you hire equipment or someone to clean it; and most important, keep your check-in paperwork to compare it with the check-out. When I told them I didn't agree with the charges, their reply was to make a counteroffer. Like if I was buying something from a bazar! I did a claim with DPS and thanks to all my evidence I got back over £250. Never encountered such an unprofessional agency. Every time I had an issue during my tenancy, the person I tried to contact was either on holiday or no longer working there. So glad I don't have to deal with them anymore.
