Possibly the most incompetent estate agent in town.
David sent insulting emails , with poor spelling and nonsensical sentences. We think he was possibly drunk. The advice was very, very poor.

I was a tenant a few years ago and was disappointed by having a member of your team enter my house without warning or knocking. Since putting up a review i have been harassed with calls and messages from the branch and accused of 'making a mistake' I am writing a review on my experience I dont wish to have a follow up or be contacted daily.
I wouldn’t rent a property from Martin & Co again. The agent tried to keep over £1600 from our deposit, for ridiculous reasons such as “finger marks on walls”. I encourage anyone in this situation to go via the DPS resolution service who saw sense and agreed an amount which was significantly less (and almost exactly what we had originally offered!) - Martin & co simply delayed the landlord’s receipt of this money for several months!NegativeProfessionalism
Very poor, wasted my time..said they'd contact me back several times never did
If I could rate Martin & Co 0 stars I would. If you’re renting a property with them, I hope you never have to move out because their service is terrible. There’s no communication, when the do get back to you it takes almost a week per email, they needed constantly chasing for important information and it took them almost a month to even mention getting my deposit back (that’s before the extremely pedantic charges). If you want a stress free move, avoid them at all costs.

This company charges over £300 in admin fees for taking on a new tenant and a £175 renewal fee just for renewing your tenancy with them (many companies charge nothing for this). I honestly have no idea why a landlord would choose to deal with a company that charges tenants this level of fees. It essentially just acts as an obstacle to finding a tenant - advertise it yourself, charge nothing beyond the rent/deposit, and you'll get 20 times as much interest in your property.
